Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a very nice place especially if you are travelling with your children. It was nice to learn about the habitat of the region.

It was not that big, but good considering it was free. It was not very light inside so was hard to see many of the specimens. All the information is in Finnish but there are information sheets in swedish and english.

This museum showcases the diversity of nature in Central Finland. It has an impressive collection of over 250 000 samples of flora and fauna typical for Central Finland.

The museum is situated in Vesilinna Watching Tower. On the same visit, you can have a bird's eye view over the beautiful scenery.

The small nature museum on the ground floor of Vesilinna is free and relatively well organized. Finnish animals and rocks. At least for the little ones a nice tour.

Over the past few years we have visited the museum many times with our grandchildren. Every time there has been lots to see. My favourites are geological exhibition, nature photographs and short nature films. Children like the real nature animals and the films too. And every time we climb up to the Tower to see the town, the lakes, the hills and the forests outside.

While the museum is small, the entrance is free and the exhibition is educational and interesting. If you want to know more about Finnish nature, it is worth a visit. Especially because the location is so good!

The museum is located in Jyvaskyla's old water tower. The museum itself is ok but the best part of lacation is the tower. One can partly use fhe lift to middke part where is a terrace and quality restaurant and view to city and surrounding lakes and forests. The best view is to climb top of the tower. And this all doen't cost anything.

Although this exhibition is not big, it's completely free and well created. I can recommend this place for both adaults and kids. Visit the view tower at the same time and please use stairs! 😉
