Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pretty little seaside/marina area; lovely re-use of old buildings.
There is a maritime museum, some restaurants and the boat to Svartholma sea fortress leaves from the marina.

Laivasilta is the old import port of Loviisa. Laivasilta has had 50 salt storehouses with salt, tobacco, coffee, spices and other imported products in them. Nowadays there are only some remaining salt storehouses there but they are very idyllic and beautiful. Handicraft shops, cozy cafeteria-restaurants and a museum are located in them.

Nowadays Laivasilta is the guest harbor of Loviisa. Sometimes m/s J.L. Runeberg sails between Helsinki and Loviisa and stops there.

Laivasilta isn't just a harbor. I loved the stone park very much, too. As many as ten windmills were located on Myllyharju Ridge next to the harbor in the 18th century. Nowadays there is only one windmill left there but some millstones can be seen in the stone park. You see a stone labyrinth there, too. Besides, a playground and a hundred-year-old tugboat named Onni are situated there.

It was extremely nice to walk, sit and spend time here. I really love this place!

Laivasilta aka shipbridge in English old harbour area in Loviisa. There is couple of restaurants, cafes and shops, which you can find separately here in TA. Area is very lively during the summer, thanks to also the guest harbour traffic.
The ship to Svartholm sea fortress leaves also from Laivasilta six times a day, a worth for a day visit also.

Laivasilta / Skeppsbron is the old harbour in Lovisa, with a row of old warehouse buildings housing different shops, cafes, restaurants and a maritime museum. It's a short walk from the city centre and definitely worth it. During the summer there's usually a lot of different events going on as well, so be sure to check it out.

Not huge, but nice place with typical fishermen barracks (?), reconverted in small commerce, museum and cafe.
Definitively a place to stop by when in Lovisa.

For quick meals. Hamburgers and pork. Budget. In nice weather you can eat outside. Maybe a little heavy but good with beer.

Nothing completely wrong with this place but they haven't utilize the full potential the great location by the sea offers. It was impossible to find good meal, bar food was easy - at a location like this it is just illogical. Mediocre service. A lot of improvement opportunities to make this a real attractions.
