The park and the City Hall are located half-way when you are climbing from the Railway Station to the city center. This Jugend-style building is designed by the renowned architect Eliel Saarinen. It was built in 1912. City Hall is the hub for decision-making in Lahti, housing the functions related to the city's governance and development. We didn't go inside. If you arrival in Lahti by train, and walking through the Rautatienkatu to center,then you will see it on your left hand side,during summer time,the city hall has few time open to public so you can go inside to visit. The new year fireword usually will show from there.

Its size is impressive, considering that it was built in the beginning of the 20th century while Lahti was no bigger than a village. Although the use of the building has changed a lot over time, it's architecture has not been damaged.
