I recommend a visit to this park if you are passing through Lahti.
The pond is home to many ducks and ducks and the surrounding park is large and very well kept.
There is a children's playground inside and a fitness point.
There are public toilets.
If you want, you can go up a hill and see the sculpture park.
We also spotted a squirrel.

Pikku-Vesijärvi is a large pond connected to Lake Vesijärvi. It is surrounded by a lush park.
In the Kariniemi Arboretum, surrounding Pikku-Vesijärvi, you can find 45 different tree species to grow.
There is a small pond where is Lahti Energia's water organ. It is also called the musical fountain of Lahti.

Jogging in April :) Circling a small pond in April is refreshing. There is still ice in the pond and the snow around it, but the migratory birds are slowly coming to settle down in the pond environment, which can be admired when the birds' flocks come to the birds. Opportunity to get around in the forest next to the pond with diverse artwork.

Pikku-Vesijärvi is the name of a small pond and a park surrounding it. They are situated next to Lanupuisto Sculpture Park (read separate TripAdvisor reviews). There are many beautiful places in Pikku-Vesijärvi Park: Vesiurut musical water fountain, Romanssien Silta Footbridge (literally the Bridge of Romances) etc. There is also a nice walking route from Pikku-Vesijärvi Park to the harbor of Vesijärvi.

Within walking distance from the city center but due to construction work had to take a small detour (September 2017). On a rainy morning it was peaceful, there were mostly dog walkers. Notice: There is even one mobile charging point near the Musical Fountain.
Beautiful flowerbeds, green lawns and plenty of wild ducks, this area is well worth a visit.

It is a nice little walk around this pond that connects to larger lake Vesijärvi. It is also a nice walking route to take if you are heading to the harbour. There is this music fountain in the "city end" of the lake. Music and fountain water show is every day 6 pm. Perhaps 20 minutes.

Location is good and convenient for visit,summer can do many outdoor sport on the lake like SUP,kayaking or fishing,and winter can do skate,ski or husky ride on the frozen lake. There is also the music fountain just inside the park.
