I don’t think that this is worth the fee. It was €13 and the views weren’t spectacular. I was told it “should last 12 minutes” but it seemed much shorter than that.

If I hadn’t done it, I probably would have regretted it. Nevertheless, I came away thinking it would be no loss not to do it.

Came here to kill some time and was pleasantly surprised. Nice views, especially in the sunny weather. Staff were friendly and nice to do. Recommend if you’ve got spare time.

Not the highest sky-wheel as well as not the cheapest one, latter is rather unfortunate. Otherwise nice short attraction - normal ride is 12 minutes and consists of 3 or 4 rounds, according to employee. You can order VIP ride with champagne and all, also there is sky sauna :) don't know how long such rides will take, but suppose longer than usual ones, an will be even more expensive.
Cabins are weather proof and aircon is present so no issue with bad weather. It was rather windy on the day of our visit but that not changed the experience, maybe bit more swaying. Views not too spectacular but ok, just to get some overview for the surroundings/ Main downside is the price, bit pricey for my liking but that depends on your wallet, maybe family tickets give more value for money, but since were not eligible for it I've not checked.

The wheel goes rather slowly and even stops when you are on top (at least it does when there aren't many people riding), so you get a good view and have time to take lots of pictures. You can buy a ticket with a discount via Booking or a combo ticket with the Flying Cinema.

Really nice experience for our foreign guest to take a look down to the city and both harbours. Also great for us hosts. There is all sorts of Helsinki & Finland suveniers sold also.

During my third visit to Helsinki I finally took a ride on the SkyWheel. It was lovely; nice pods with music and heating inside (essential for November!)
Gives you a wonderful view of the city from the Harbour and you can see out over the Baltic sea to all the pretty little islands. Doesn’t take up too much of the day so you can do it in between other things but isn’t too short either.
Well worth a visit!

It was the first attraction I saw after leaving my hotel. Glad I tried this, but it was a bit of a let-down. It was smaller than others of its type & the cars were freezing. The views were good, but my pics weren't so good, due to the scratched blue glass.

Not the best of weather for taking a ride on the Skywheel but we were only her for the day and there was no queue. At least we got up there without becoming victim to the supposedly many pickpockets that were around the entrance on the ground level. We are always careful not to let anyone see our cash or where we carry it.
The sky wheel it's self is like many we have been on and I find that most including this one falls far short of the one in Singapore which is a class above all others.
We just about able to see out to the harbour and make out the top of our cruise ship with a bit of a squint. I am sure it would be nicer when the weather is clearer and you can see more. Do think that something should be done about the crowds who were milling around appearing to be looking out for opportunities to make a grab and run. If you are here in the city beware that there may be eyes on you looking to spot your money!

Only in Finland would a ferris wheel include a sauna.

It is a prominent feature of the waterfront near the lido and there is a stepped viewing platform alongside it which gives great views of the harbour, though early evening in September the bar was closed.
