Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Interesting individual shopping and lively terraces have shifted the city center south. The pedestrian street Iso Roobert has really bloomed to life this summer bringing new customers to shop in the area's design stores as well as classy second hand outlets. Unnew is the latest on Uudenmaankatu selling home decoration, an airy cafeteria is attached. Hakola on Annankatu carries the family tradition of Finnish made modern furniture lasting through generations, this season the colours are pastel. The Design District expands further to prestigious Boulevard where Hetzukoto sells brand hand bags second hand with exquisite clothing designed by the Thai owner.

Nice area but Helsinki got nicer places. The coffees are much more expensive there and other than nice stores I didn't see any reason to go there.

Located near the Design Museum, this district is a great place full of design, fashion stores, antique shops, restaurants and more. A very convenient and welcoming district.

This is an area near the Design Museum. It has clothing, antique, housewares, etc. shops, as well as restaurants and galleries. Fun to walk around but the more famous deign shops are in the downtown area.

We found the area to have many shopfronts displaying fabrics, furnishings, clothing, workshops etc which were interesting to us as so different to what is offered in our own country. A few cafes selling delicious fresh food and good coffee. The local church is delightful as it’s not overly adorned. Architecture is also interesting. Worthwhile if you have time.

The area stretches out most to the south from the cross roads of the Boulevard and Fredrikinkatu with smaller and bigger shops selling all kinds of design products. Clothes and home decoration on offer are both Finnish and international brands, new ones and already well established. On the recently renovated Iso Roba pedestrian street in an elegant Art Deco building is large and well stocked Fida second hand charity shop also worth the visit. Momono combining design and vintage has moved to a new excellent corner location at Ratakatu near the Design Museum. Street art is present all over the area in handpainted electricity cabinets sponsored by Helsinki Energy Helen.

Lots of stuff going on!
Street art, museum, churches, restaurant. It seem normal like that but they all seem to have something special.
Of course, lots of boutique of all kind. Youll get your fix for finnish artcraft. You may even meet the designer!

Nice area to Walk around and enjoy design in a lot of different areas. Not to much traffic or crowded. Depending on how often you enter shops you could easily spend half a day here.
