Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a food hall it is not a gift shop.
It is very nice and shame it is not listed properly as you won’t find it when looking for food… I have suggested an edit

I had a lunch with a friend at Mama’s Pho restaurant ( an Asian restaurant). There were several interesting restaurants and it was difficult to choose. The Markethall was quite busy at lunch time, almost all tables in all restaurants were full. We both had chicken in oyster sauce and noodles. The portion was beautiful and balanced, enough chicken and and greens which were fresh. I will come to the Markethall againnand will try other restaurants!

Casual dining is offered by several restaurants serving Asian, Portuguese and Mediterranean dishes for lunch and dinner. They seem to have survived though the once popular flea market is taking it's last breaths. I come here for a coffee and vegan croissant sitting outside in the sun at Roberts Coffee.

This beautiful 116-year-old Hietalahti Market Hall serves now as a cafe and restaurant concentration.

International kitchens offer delicious flavors around the world. You can find Japanese, Portuguese, Italian, French and Middle Eastern cuisine.

The popular Hietalahti flea market is located next to the Market Hall.

Used to be a traditional market hall, but is nowadays a hall for small restaurants. Some of them are really nice, so can be a good choice for lunch for example.

The Hietaniemi market place is the flee market place. And the market hall next to it is full of rather nice restaurants to go. Earlier it was the place to sell vegetable and fruit. Now only for eating.

Offering food from all over the world the old market hall has established itself as a popular lunch venue both for locals and tourists visiting the flea market in front. The old beautiful wooden interior is so high that the restaurants at both ends are on two floors. It is nice to see businesses flourish as the previous efforts to enliven the space either as a traditional or antique market didn't succeed.

As the flea market at Hietalahti is my favourite place in the summer I am a regular at the Roberts Coffee terrace and get every 10th coffee free with my card. The setting is elegant in front of the old market building with big umbrellas for shade and the opportunity to watch people browse the stalls. There is inside seating too with many other restaurants open all year around.

In the old times before supermarkets, Market halls were place were local people bought their food. Plenty of small booths, each specialising their own items, like spices, meat, cheese and so on.
Nowadays there are shops selling e.g. meat, but more restaurants. I highly recommend, either test Roslund burger or soups at other end of the Hall.
The advantage is that this inside, compared to Market Square shopping.
