I'm not so keen on Itis due to the characters it brings through its doors. Hordes of African and Arabs usually pushing people out of the way or being rude(not all of course, but many) On top of that you have a few Finnish alcoholics gathering outside.

A genuine and honest assessment of Itis.

It has some decent shops inside and it's kept clean so these are the plus sides.

The biggest shopping mall in the eastern part of town has remained quite the same over the troubled times as the customers are locals not tourists. Nowadays it offers maybe even better shopping opportunities than the city center under one roof. There is a huge movie theater, many cafeterias and restaurants and a metro station with bus connections futher on. The old shopping centre beside it has become an equally popular ethnic food area with big Turkish supermarkets.

This shopping center can be easily reached from Helsinki city center by metro. There are over 120 stores, tens of restaurants and cafes and other services.

A new restaurant area and a 9-screen multiplex IMAX cinema Finnkino Itis were opened in autumn 2018.

It was our first visit here and for the IMAX cinema. It was a stunning experience, probably the best cinema in Finland.

It’s a great shopping mall, has many shops, services and restaurants. We don’t go very frequently because it’s bit far for us but was a nice surprise to see how many new restaurants and coffee shops are available. Also Imax is there and that’s why we went. After movies we had dinner in a nice Thai restaurant

Itis serves mainly the population living in the vast eastern suburbs who will find everything they need from Stockmann department store to Suomalainen bookstore and all the international chain stores selling clothes. With the opening of the new cinema the restaurant selection has grown even wider offering food from all corners of Asia. The most elegant cafe Fazer, by the famous Finnish chocolate brand is in the middle of the boulevard brightly alight and well sheltered from busy shoppers.

Itis is old shopping mall. First part, known as Pasaati was build already 1984, extended 1992 and 2001 with part called Plaza.
There are some 200 shops and restaurants in the mall. LB burger restaurant is my favourite among the Thai.
From shops I can recommend Stockmann, being expensive high quality seller and Kalinka, selling Russian and Estonian specialities. If you are looking for Halal or other more exotic food imports, you have to across the street to old Puhos mall.
Of course you have all multinational big chains at Itis, which you find at your home too.
Parking is free.

Been a year since I was here and have returned to do done Sale shopping...and didn't I find bargains some even up to 70 percent off. There are an enormous variety of shops including high end stores and I love Stockmans. However today we shopped at sports stores ,shoes and kids clothing.
The centre is well laid out, plenty of lifts and escalators very clean and disability friendly. Most people speak English but will appreciate a hello and thank you in Finnish
Huge amount off food outlets and coffee stops.
Great parking, loads of disabled spots ,bring your blue badge and a clear timing dial, usual stay 3 hours

The Itis shopping centre is nowadays the second-biggest shopping centre in Finland. There are hundreds of shops and service providers under one roof: you can get everything from fashion to Finnish design, like Pentik. In addition, there are lots of restaurants, pubs, and cafes. The crown jewel is the Stockmann department store, which is not, though, quite as big as the city centre outlet. If you are looking for budget prices, you should try the Tokmanni in the basement, best accessed by escalator from the mid of the complex to the left. And all this is easy to reach in 14 minutes by the east-bound subway from the main railway station. Get off at Itäkeskus. You will get straight into Itis if you choose the Eastern exit.

Itis shopping mall is Finlands biggest mall. It has almost all you need and if you where it is handy and convinient. Most of the cafes are occupied by foreigners and it has a very multicultural vibe.
