Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic place! Honestly doesn't look like it would be anything special from the outside, however inside is just delightful! the staff are so friendly and the views on the harbour are divine in the sunshine. It is quite hard to get there at the moment with the building works but worth the walk

As an Australian wanting a traditional Finnish sauna experience I was very happy. Service was great. The mood was great and the sauna was great.

Cool spot and we managed to touch an iceberg in the water out the back.

Laid back atmosphere with commentary water, gets very busy so make sure you reserve a spot online and you pay by card when you get there. If dipping out thr back you have to wear a swim suit. In the sauna itself it is nude - they are single sex saunas.

If walking from town there was a lot of roadworks so just follow the path that runs parallel to the river.

Open only from Wednesday to Sunday in the mornings the small sauna in Merihaka can be reserved online. You can go swimming from the other side but the sea water may not be the cleanest here.

Went twice and experienced a wonderful time. Gender specific saunas and chilled ambiance. Great location for sunrise

Really enjoyed my first sauna experience here! We went right when it opened (arrived around 3:55) and although it opened a little late, this was definitely the right choice - people who showed up even at 5 had to wait a little bit. We got lockers and little towels for sitting on, and went in and out of the shower, sauna, and Finnish Gulf multiple times! The sauna has a nice view of the water and folks were keeping it plenty warm. Great atmosphere!

Hidden retreat in the heart of Helsinki, behind cityview. You cannot lose your way to get there. You need to know the place. When you step in, you feel the calming atmosphere immediately. The best "löyly" in the city. Dipping in the sea refreshes you finally. Extremely lovely couple runs their familybusiness with warm passion. This is my weekly livingroom to relax and get empowered.

It has only one shower and the shower room was like a prison cell. Dirty and old. The sauna itself was not impressive. It's just a concrete cell. Only the seat was made of wood. from the terrace you can only see the industrial complex.
The worst sauna in Helsinki. Go Löyly if you look for luxury. Go Kotiharjun or other public sauna if you want to feel like locals. There are a few public saunas not on TripAdvisor if you ask locals. Don't waste your time and money. AVOID IT!

It was open at 4 p.m. on the day I went so I waited outside for a while.I had my own towel in my bag but they still gave me a small piece of towel to sit on in the sauna. It was not crowded at first. We were three in the room. The men who is responsible told me what to do beforehand. I took a shower before I went into the sauna. You should do it to show your respect to the sauna culture. Then a local lady and her daughter showed me all the ways. After a while I joined them and jumped into the sea. This place has an access to the sea. Then we went into the shower and the sauna and back into the sea several times. In the end the room became very crowded and I thanked them and said goodbye. It was a fantastic experience with locals. Try to go there at the opening hour. After 5 p.m. it becomes really crowded and the rooms are very hot and small. Enjoy!

I visited the sauna on midsummer weekend. I assume this was a very busy time, yet very much enjoyed my stay and the beautiful minimalist decor. A dip in the sea was also very refreshing. The staff is very friendly.
