Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had so much fun on board Silja Serenade overnight cruise from Stockholm to Helsinki. Boarding with our car was swift and efficient. We had a deluxe double cabin which was larger than expected. Great shower and bathroom size as well. We dined at the steak house and had breakfast in the Italian buffet. Drinks were flowing and we absolutely loved the experience. Beautiful scenery.

Travelled as a foot passenger on the ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki. Check In was done on line which enabled immediate entry to the Tallinn terminal which is modern and spotless. Plenty of seating whilst waiting for the ferry. Boarding the ferry is also quick but requires a walk along a raised platform/tunnel. It is wheeled baggage friendly with travelators.
The ferry itself is clean and modern with ample areas to sit with your own group. There are food, duty free, alcohol shops as well as a casino. There is a garden area plus an open area at the top for smokers.
Disembarking is equally quick. There is a tram service at the terminal.
Low prices and a 2 hour trip is better than flying.
Best ferry service I have experienced in Europe and UK.

This was such an easy and straightforward trip to do. We sailed from Helsinki to Tallinn. The ferry was amazing, really modern and more like a cruise liner. It really was an enjoyable experience and great value for mine. We will definitely use again if we are in this area at some point in the future.

We could not fault the experience we had with Tallink for a ferry crossing (day visit) to Tallinn. From initial booking, e-tickets, boarding at West Terminal 2 and the ferry crossing itself. We were onboard the MyStar ferry and, whilst I think this is the newest in their fleet, it was spotlessly clean with all modern facilities you can think of, and shop til you drop retail therapy!
If you head to level 8 there is a comfortable & clean lounge area configured in 4 or 2 seating arrangements that is included for use on a standard ticket.
I would not hesitate to use Tallink again, very impressive operation.

We have had 2 memorable trips on Tallink. One between Stockholm & Helsinki and the other between Stockholm & Tallin.
Both the trips were good. They have good breakfast on board (only issue I had is that the breakfast was same both the days and on both the trip). They have good stores for shopping on board. Their super market (tax free) is also good.
They have good entertainment shows for kids and adults.

It was a great experience what Tallink offered.
The price and the comfort that the ferry was offering where just on point. Very clean as well.

A super pleasant experience. Easy to book and pay for. Easy to update details. There were options to cancel or change the time.
Lots of room on the ferry. Seats we’re comfortable and food was good.
Ferry arrived and landed on time. Ferry terminal was also clean and easy to use.

My review tells about Silja Serenade, route Helsinki-Stockholm. Year by year, the selection and quality of grand buffet gets lower and lower. Quality-price ratio is currently poor. One beef slice was once again very tough: a shoemaker would be delighted to make a shoe sole from it. General price level has gone up significantly in restaurants. On the other hand, the breakfast was as good as it has always been.

Fantastic liner. You cannot fault it. Extremely clean and staff so well groomed. Worth the visit to Helsinki even just to experience this ship. Definately worth it!!

We are planning to travel to Turku from Stockholm in August . Are there any restrictions on lagguages that one can carry?
Does any one have the idea of distance from the Turku habour to the City Centre and availability of public transport to the City Centre

We were part of a tour group while riding the ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki, therefore we ate as a group in the cafeteria. I was not aware of any other restaurant facility

Ist die Zeitumstellung zwischen Stockholm und Helsinki mit in den Zeiten berücksichtigt? Bspw. In den Frühstückszeiten?
Hi, very good review, but i have a few questions as I am thinking to book Tallink.
(1) Is there entertainment till evening, such a singers?
(2) Are bars/nightclubs open?
(3) Is food self service in the buffet?
(4) What general restrictions are in place due to covid?
Thankyou.

I went on the early ferry and had a cabin on the rerun journey so not sure in February if bars and nightclubs were open. Cafe, restaurant and Burger King were open. Sure there will be strict Covid restrictions at this time. Cabins definitely worth booking, especially on return leg to Helsinki
Can I transport alcohol to another person on a Tallinn Helsinki ferry?

Absolutely. And the real pros have a trolley like the old luggage carry on trollies. There is a huge Alko store right across the street from the terminal in Tallinn. Good selection and much cheaper than Helsinki. They will even wrap up your large purchases on your trolley. Have done it a few times and works well. Have fun!

We want to visit Helsinki during our stay in Tallinn in may. Should we book the ferry now or wait until we get there, also, are there different companies to choose from and which are the cheapest. Many thanks in advance.

I recommend you to book in advance (beforehand your visit). You can book April-May. I used Tallink Silja and liked their service.

Добрый день! Мы едем днем из Турку в Стокгольм. Каюту нужно брать обязательно? если - нет, то куда багаж?
NataliaMatr

Мы ездили на другом пароме, на 2 часа необязательно брать каюту. Багаж либо с собой, либо в "камере хранения", металлические ящики с замочками. По-моему, стоило 2 евро. Если нет металлических денег, то можно разменять деньги на reception.

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone took the overnight ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn and what their experience was like. Also, are the prices as good as they seem, or too good to be true? On the website is says the cheapest Cabin for 4 people is only €32 for a bed each!

Prices are really low but don't expect any luxury experience.
