    Overnight ship from Stockholm to Helsinki. 27 hours. Cabins are small but comfortable. Many restaurants and shops on board. Huge duty free shopping outlet. Only Euro or cards can be used for purchases. No money changer on board.

    Tallink and Silja Line
    The ship served its purpose as hotel/ transportation to Helsinki, I wouldn't do it again. The room was run down, bed was gross because the sheets did not cover the much stained mattress nor did the duvet/sheet cover the blanket/duvet fully, exposing a communal covering from person to person. I didn't shower as the shower unit was very tiny and it didn't appear sanitary to me. Cabin room is not made to sit in it comfortably, there is shelf against wall so you are unable to support your back. One small pillow, I guess they want you shopping and drinking not hanging out in your room. No balconies from room as usually too cold. I personally recommend packing a picnic and carrying on your own water vs. being in the overcrowded food lines, or buying a small overpriced water. The breakfast was very low end. I chose the cold hard-boiled eggs, an orange, and bacon. There was bread to make open faced sandwiches; the breakfast was not worth the price. But you are on a ship and options are limited. There is an area for dogs to go to the bathroom; unfortunately, some folks let there dogs use the poles of the ship and urinate all over them. This is unsanitary as there are small children running around and playing. The ship was old and run down. Fairly smooth ride. When I was in my room I felt like I needed fresh air. There was not a lot of seating outside, you were not able to walk in a full circle on the top deck because of work being done. I could not wait to get off the ship.

Our bed linen is changed regularly to new ones, but due to thorough washing they tend to shrink. Of course, those linens should be removed and change for new ones, but in some cases, those end up in use. We will be in touch with the ships cleaning department to monitor this better. We can assure you that the bathrooms are sanitary, even though they are on the smaller side. Balconies can be found in some of our Commodore cabins, but other cabin categories do not feature balconies. Our seven onboard restaurants offer a wide variety of meals at different price levels. Some departures might be fuller than others and queues can appear during peak hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our Grande Buffet breakfast offers a variety of different foods and drinks, and we are sorry to hear that our offerings did not meet with your expectations. You are also able to book a table from our special breakfast in the restaurant Tavolàta, or a cafeteria. It is unfortunate to hear that some passengers haven’t respected our designated dog areas. We take the matter very seriously, and our onboard crew has been reminded on better monitoring of this. With some of our ships being built a few decades ago, we do our best keeping our fleet in the best possible shape, hence there might’ve been some work done on the deck. We will take these issues into consideration when developing as a company. Our main priority are happy customers, and we hope to see you returning to our ships one day.     Enjoyable overnight ferry
    Overnight ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm. Our cabin was in the bowels of the boat , compact and bijou, and the numbering system very cunning to understand. The ferry was otherwise great with plenty of room. We ate dinner in the buffet which was quite expensive and very full but it was all you can eat and our (nice) wine from a tap was included. Breakfast was the same.

    Beautiful ship pricey meals
    The ship us quite gorgeous. The ticketing agents in Tallinn ere not friendly at all. Imagine I bought the ticket to Helsinki are the counter and did not get ticket nor receipt. First time I'm seeing such a thing. So i asked where is my ticket she said it registered online. Then I said where is my receipt for the purchase she said the is none just show up for the date and time. It so happened I had to change the date of sailing and was charged another 20 euros, and only this time I actually got a receipt, a day after I retuned to make the changes. The ship was so comfortable and looks like you are in a mall. The tea and snacks were quite pricey. However, overall it's a lovely smooth ride to Helsinki.

    Great way to travel!
    Took the ferries from Stockholm to Helsinki and Tallinn to Stockholm. This was the cheapest way to travel around, but it was great! The ships are like mini cruises. Shops, Restaurants, Casinos, Entertainment, they have it all. Staff was very nice & helpful. We had a great time on the ships and woke up the next day at our new location!

    Cabins need an update
    The boat is old and dated, the cabins need a huge upgrade. The staff is sweet, the performance is ok but for the price charged I can't believe that such old cabins should be in use. The food and drinks on board are very good and the common areas are lovely.

The embarkation process was smooth..staff was kind.
Maria at the information desk has a great you attitude. The promenade is awesome..so is starlight. The 12th floor deck offers mesmerizing views.
Soulflower Oasis has sauna and jacuzzi for 14 euros each.
Cabin rooms are well Designed and clean.
Grand buffet is overwhelming..great experience

After careful review of our options, we chose Tallink for our day cruise. We arrived at the terminal early to purchase tickets and were accommodated quickly. We left at 10:30 am and returned at 1630 pm. While it was only a few hours in Tallinn we felt it was sufficient for us. The MegaStar had a beautiful garden deck that we sat in before spending lots of time shopping. We took the Star back and it was okay in comparison. The food was mediocre at best for both boats but overall we had a great experience

The boat is old and dated, the cabins need a huge upgrade. The staff is sweet, the performance is ok but for the price charged I can't believe that such old cabins should be in use. The food and drinks on board are very good and the common areas are lovely.

We did Stockholm to Helsinki, two nights on the cruise ship and it was a great experience. The staff are super friendly and helpful, lots to do on the ship itself and the cabins were really comfy. We had so much fun and would definitely do this again, the evening entertainment is spot on too.

We got the mystar ship from Helsinki to Tallinn for a day trip and it was great.
Decent price (107 euro for 2 adults return) and the ship was amazing.
We booked the 10:30 ferry NOTE THAT BOARDING STOPS 20 MINS BEFORE TIME SHOWN. Boarding stopped 10:10 and we set off 10:15 and arrived 2 hours later to Tallinn.
Amazing pub with live singer, many restaurants and cafes. Plenty of seating in different areas including a plane seat style room with lots of seats. Restaurant you can book or buffet places, we had food on the ferry back and it was really good quality.
There is a covered glass garden area at the back of the ship or you can go on top in the open air.
Kids play area and free hot and cold water points throughout.
Easy boarding and disembarking both ways.
Honestly can’t fault it.

Have gone on this cruise about 12 times in 15 years and I have to divide my rating to make it as fair as the beginning.

Silja Serenade/Sympfony are very nice boats to go on and everything feels modern, although at least one of the boats was built in 1990. The staff are service minded and knowledgeable. There are plenty of activities to do on board, i.e. both performances and shopping, and you sleep relatively well if you choose the walk-in cabins. The fact that you then have a few hours to stroll around Finland (Even visiting Sea Life) makes the trip really enjoyable. So of course I can recommend a cruise with this company, you will not be disappointed. For this I give the company a rating of 5

The food, This trip we chose the buffet option as we had children with us and there is plenty of food in varying flavors but it still feels quite basic. but the advantage of this is that there are both starters and desserts and you are guaranteed to be full when you leave. Luxury the breakfast is fantastic For this I give the rating 4

But now to the negative, with my travels in the background, I have noticed constant deterioration in the quality of the luxury restaurants at both Sympfony/Serenade and that it is constantly getting more expensive to shop for both food and duty free. Before, you went to earn a little money in the duty free, but it's basically impossible now. Some types of alcohol are cheaper at the system company and the sweets are insanely expensive. But what annoys me the most is that 1 liter of water costs SEK 60 and it's pure usury (I'm not familiar with clothes, make-up, perfumes so I can't judge this but I assume it's the same price picture as the rest of the products sold The bar on the boat has the same prices as in Sweden, so I give it a 2

In conclusion, I just want to say that it is still a fantastic activity to go with the family. Not having to stress without the boat taking you where you need to go and back

Har åkt denna kryssning ca 12 gånger på 15 år och jag måste dela upp mitt betyg för att det skall vara så rättvist som början.

Silja Serenade/Sympfony är väldigt trevliga båtar att åka på och allt känns modernt fast åtminstonde en av båtarna är byggda 1990. Personalen är serviceminded och kunniga. Det finns gott om aktiviteter att göra ombord dvs både uppträdanden och shopping och man sover relativt gott om man väljer promenadhytterna. Att man sedan har några timmar att strosa runt i Finland ( Till och med besöka Sea Life) gör ju resan riktigt trevlig. Så visst jag kan rekommendera en kryssning med detta bolag ni kommer inte att bli besvikna på det. För detta ger jag bolaget betyget 5

Maten, Denna resa så valde vi buffe alternativet då vi hade barn med och det finns gott om mat i varierande smaker men det känns ändå ganska basic. men fördelen med detta är att det finns både förrätter och efterrätter och man är garanterat mätt när man går därifrån. Lyx frukosten är fantastisk För detta ger jag betyget 4

Men nu till det negativa, med mina resor i bakgrunden så har jag märkt ständiga försämringar i kvalite på lyxrestaurangerna på både SYmpfony/Serenade samt att det blir ständigt dyrare att handla både mat o taxfree. Förut åkte man för att tjäna sig en liten slant i taxfreen men det är i princip omöjligt nu. Vissa sorters alkohol är billigare på systembolaget och godiset är sjukt dyrt. Men det som retar mig mest är att 1 liter vatten kostar 60 kr och det är rent ocker (kläder, smink, parfymer är jag inte insatt i så jag kan inte bedöma detta men jag antar att det håller samma prisbild som resten av produkterna som säljs. Baren på båten håller samma priser som i Sverige för detta ger jag betyget 2

Sammanfattningsvis så vill jag bara säga att det är ändå en fantastisk aktivitet att åka med familjen. Att inte behöva stressa utan båten tar en dit man skall och tillbaka

Travelled to Tallinn for the day from Helsinki. Boarded 730am crossing to Tallinn. Although ticket purchase is done online, we were able to buy tickets at the terminal.

Ticket purchase was possible at a counter or via kiosk machine, but we opted for the counter. Operator was friend and courteous and quickly processed our tickets and cross checked our passports. Within minutes we had paid ( no cash transaction) and moved to the departure area. Terminal was spotless and easy to walk around, well signposted.

Boarding was easy and efficient and journey on Mystar vessel was enjoyable. Ship journey was comfortable and we were able to buy breakfast onboard. Plenty of meal and drink options at reasonable prices. Our return journey from Tallinn was on the Megastar vessel, which again was a great experience. Return cross was at 130pm and so we ate lunch on the ship. Again the meal options were plentiful and reasonably priced.

Being that this is an international journey, there was a duty free shop on these ships as well.

We were staying on the east side of Helsinki city and getting to the ferry terminal (terminal 2) was very easy using the Trams metro and the HSL app. In Tallinn, the terminal is within walking distance from the old town city,which was very convenient.

Overall it was a great experience

Horrible customer service. Had our flight from Miami to Helsinki cancelled and next available flight was 3 days later, which ruined a majority of our trip. All of our activities we were going to miss refunded our money except this cruise line. Tried them several times on the phone with no answer and then finally spoke to them through email. I’m sure the cruise is fine, but if something goes wrong good luck speaking to anyone who wants to help you. They just tell you to deal with travel insurance vs trying to help make the situation right when it was the airlines fault fully cancelling our flight. I would choose any other cruise line due to this.

Perfect way to spend a day in Helsinki if you are spending a long weekend in Tallinn.
It takes 2 hours to get to port of Helsinki. Easy access to city centre by trams going from outside of the terminal building to city centre.

Take early ferry like 7.30 am and arrive at 9.30am and return at 4.30pm back to Tallinn. Enough time to explore Helsinki’s tourist attractions.

Hassle free trip
Enjoyed being on the deck, shopping the stores and relished the grand buffet that was served at 16:45 and 07:00 the next day. Though my room was a smaller one, there's no dearth of facilities and one can always relax on the upper deck.
