We went here in search of something to do on a very rainy day. We were pleasant,y surprised. From the outside the building seems small but when you go inside there are 3 floora of exhibitions with is SO much to see and do. My daughter had a great time and asked to go back

I always try and get to a natural history museum when I'm in a new country. Helsinki's was really cool with some incredibly interesting exhibits. There was the usual stuff, but then the bone rooms, really cool prehistoric exhibits, local/Finnish wildlife, and of course the mammoths. The only thing I was disappointed with was that you still had to pay... More

Quite expensive to get in considering what was inside... I probably wouldn't return again. You might enjoy it if you're REALLY into natural history, however!

This museum provides a nice exhibition of old and ancient ways and lives and objects of finnish people. It is tidy and nicely put. There is also some temporary exhibition going on and you can attend all places with the same ticket. Cafe does not have much to offer ( maybe in lunch time it has) and I did not... More

We loved this museum. Went there 45 before closing time and really regretted it as we could have spent hours looking at the fantastic exhibitions. Really well done and such an interesting place to visit. Some of the best exhibitions of natural history we have ever seen and some really informative displays.

The Natural History Museum is located in the centre of Helsinki, behind the Parliament House. The building can easily be recognized from the Moose-statue next to the main entrance. Our oldest daughter had determined that she and her friends would like to se the museum. We were actually quite astonished how much three teenagers could indulge in the displays and... More

It is much better than the other museums in the city. It has some nice exhibits, definitely a great place to take your kids. But it isn't quite in the same league as its more famous cousins in New York or London.
