Stunning Seafront location

How this place has escaped the developers, I am not sure. The location is right on the water front and offers great views 270 degrees East, South to Estonia and West.

Kaivopuisto is a green area in the posh neighbourhood of Eira by the seaside. It's a popular spot for pickniks and walking trips. Last of April and First of May Kaivopuisto gets really crowded when Helsinki people gather to celebrate together.

If you're visiting Helsinki, you should plan to spend at least one afternoon walking about Kaivopuisto and the seashore. It's the most beautiful park in Helsinki, and by the sea you will find a lot of cafés and restaurants where you can sit down for a snack and enjoy the sun. The park is the place where most people go... More

Beautiful park for just strolling around or going for a picnic. On May day you'll find the park absolutely packed so I suggest you go there early on. You can also do bbq there, as long as you take care, especially if it's dry season. There is also few restaurants like Kaivohuone and Ursula by the sea, if you run... More

Kaivopuisto is in my mind the most beautiful park in Helsinki area. It is not that big but with its small hills and proximity to the see it is a beautiful place to stroll. Be aware of the weather and especially high winds can make a visit less enjoyable. However, it is one of the best places to spend a... More

Have a wonderful stroll on the embankment with a magnificent view. This is a must - unless you come from a sea side town from another Nordic country. Quality cafes available.

In winter this is the place for sledge and in summer you can enjoy a picnic and park concerts on flat rocks and lawns. Leafy Kaivopuisto-Brunnsparken with its embassies and villas are the oldest and most famous of the parks in Helsinki

We spent a couple of hours walking around Kaivopuisto on a gorgeous summer day in June. The park is large with many spots that offer wonderful views of Suomennlina islands and the boat harbors. The ice cream was delicious and there are many places to sit down and relax or to enjoy a bite to eat.

My girlfriend loved the sunset and was really happy about having been there and watching the clouds changing the color from sunny yellow to dark purple. The sunset is lasting long so take time, a blanket, food and drinks with you! More local people than tourists.

We stopped here briefly to relax and eat the delicious strawberry that we bought from the local market before returning to the cruise-ship. This is a stop on the hop-on, hop-off bus which is a very nice way to see things around this beautiful city.
