We booked this tour independently of our cruise ship, and enjoyed ourselves immensely. One of our tour guides, Outi, was promptly at the appointed place to pick up our party of six, and was friendly, prepared and reassuring on our way to the launch site. Once there, our second guide, Toni, joined us, and we began the tour. Both Outi and Toni were thorough and patient while ensuring that we were all comfortable and capable in the kayaks. While kayaking, all of our group enjoyed having easy, informational conversation with both guides, and we learned a great deal about Finland....everything from info. about their educational system, to housing, to native Finnish foods, to geographical info., etc....Toni and Outi answered everything we asked, with extreme thoroughness, but managed to make our conversations feel like friendly chats, rather than professorial lectures. The kayaking venue was beautiful, on a small bay outside of the city (the original venue was deemed - thankfully! - too choppy that day), and easy to navigate. A highlight of the tour was eating lunch on a small island, complete with yummy sandwiches, juice, water, and then, a delightful introduction to a drink comprised of the sea buckthorn berry. (Lovely!) We were initially, briefly disappointed that we were encouraged to leave behind our cells and cameras; Outi and Toni were simply ensuring that those items didn't get wet. However, to our very pleasant surprise, Outi informed us that she would take pictures of us and our tour, and then - free of charge! - email them to us. She did so promptly (in all, she took about 20 pictures!), and went even further by including other written information about some of the topics about which we had expressed interest while kayaking. Upon driving us back to the drop-off point, she was also full of info. about possible souvenirs we were interested in purchasing. Please know that Outi did NOT press us to feel like we needed to purchase a thing, she was merely answering our questions. She helped us to find a local, quality area in which to purchase some excellent, native items, as well as to sample some traditional foods. Fun!
In all, we couldn't have asked for more from these two guides, or from the Natura Viva company.
