Be aware that the outdoor museum part of the island - the historic, old buildings relocated to the site - is only open for 4 months each year: late Spring to early autumn. This season, the water and sewerage pipes are being replaced, so there may be some disruption. The island itself is a pleasant place for walking and enjoying... More

Seurasaari is an island that captures the essence of Finland nicely - an abundance of trees, surrounded by water, and quiet people wandering about revelling in the stillness. The sun was shining after a long winter, and there were the mesmerising flames of the Easter bonfires to stare at, so even without taking much notice of the open-air aspect of,... More

Nice Place to walk among the old rural houses in a small forest island. You can even have a bath in the sea. There are restaurants . On midsummer eve you can see bonfires and folk dance performances.

Seurasaari is an island, turned to outdoors museum. That said, this is a great place to spend some relaxing time if the weather allows it. You can feed squirrels, little birds, big birds, etc. A great place to be during the summer, since there is also a restaurant, café, and ice cream stands.

This is a beautiful island, a little away from Helsinki city. Its full of amazing scenes and surrounded by beautiful seashore. There are many birds, ducks and squirrels on the island, which are ready to be fed. You can walk across the island, or choose to walk around it on the shoreline. This island has few cafes. which server good... More

It`s a park with old Finnish buildings, beautiful nature and lots of squirrels and swans. You can take nuts with you and feed squirrels from your hands. You can also arrange a picnic in the designated place.

Seurasaari is great for a walk, the museum is nice and showing a piece of Finnish history, although it is nothing outstanding and it isn't opened whole year around.

A great pocket of greenery not too far from the Centre. Some old rural buildings, beautiful trees, nice walking paths and surrounded by water. If I could do it again I would pack a picnic and eat lunch here. If you ride a bike here it has to be parked before the bridge to the island, as it is walking... More

One of my favourite spots in Helsinki. Wonderful place to stroll around, and enjoy the beautiful nature (and the curious squirrels). The outdoors museum is a very good way to get an idea of rural finnish architecure, as well.

The nature on the island is very beautiful. There are also some very friendly birds and squirrels, so if you go i would recommend taking some bread and nuts to feed them ( they even take it from your hand). Good for families, couples and friends. Mind that it can get very windy, even when it is not cold outside,... More
