You are going to read the reviews and wonder if you should come here. Then you are going to come because it is 5 minutes away from everything else in Helsinki. But should you come? Here is what it is. It's a great central location....More

It reflects the Finnish and Scandinavian simple/pure architectural style. Don't expect gigantic architectural building facades like other European cathedrals. You can watch the public oratorio everyday in front of the cathedral. Also the stairs and the senate square are lying in front of the cathedral and...More

Beautiful Cathedral, with wonderful Icons and incredible decoration. Set on a hill with lovely views.

After being in St Petersburg Russia, Helsinki in general was a letdown for us. But this church was nice.

Nice Church. The church was pretty but nothing overly impressive. For a site to be highly ranked on trip advisor I guess I expected more.

Beautiful inside and out, a great meeting point or spot to have a break. Cafes opposite the cathedral too.

A beautiful landmark but too many stairs to climb. The outside square was majestic with old buildings having European architecture. The tram gets you here directly from the Central station. We walked to the harbor which is about 10 mins from the cathedral.

What a beautiful cathedral in its Lutheran simplicity and elegance. After visiting St Petersburg, it was so nice to visit a church that didn't have gold leaf vomited over everything. Helsinki Cathedral has an ambience that makes one feel one is in God's house.
