In winter the park has a different feel during day and night. Enjoy the beautiful fascades on the buildings on both sides. The night reveals a wonderful display of lights that add charm to people watching.

We were there on Christmas evening. It was quite crowded. We took photos with the Christmas decor. Some shops and restaurants like Kamp were open for business.

Clean, nice views and a nice walk to relax. Have been here many times and in all seasons. Fun in winter to sledge :)

We visited Helsinki the week after Christmas during the darkest part of the year when the sun was setting just after 3 in the afternoon. But, the park is probably prettier in the dark because of the Christmas lights. Nice place for a stroll.

The Esplanadi park is very nice and was beautifully lit up during the days we were in Helsinki at Christmas. The sea and the ferry pier is next to the Park. The Tourist Information centre is located along the park. On both sides of the...More

A great spot to meander and shop in the markets... also a great central point to refer to as we walked everywhere!

During summertime this park becomes a veritable hub for communion, entertainment, and arts, being a must-go for anybody who is in Helsinki between June and August.

I do believe where the cruise ports you just keep walking west a couple of blocks and you will be in the middle of Esplanadi. Lots of shops, snacks and salons. Public market at the port, too. Local food and art/crafts. Enjoy!
