Markets such as this offer good fare to buy and great photo opportunities. This market is as good as many others but nothing special

The Hakaniemi market square (Hakaniemen tori) has kept a lot of its authenticity: it still serves as a place to buy your fresh produce from farms nearby, as well as wild berries and mushrooms, even if the selection is smaller each year. It's also famous for its cafes or rather tents that sell coffee. The coffee is nothing special, but... More

we wanted to explore the market to get snacks for the few days when we explored the city and was recommended to stop by this. They had many unique fruits that we do not usually see in the western hemisphere and I loved every single one! The workers are friendly and you are able to negotiate for the amount of... More

This is the market where the locals go to buys fresh fish, meat, bread etc. It is smaller than the main market square. You wont't find tourists at all. There are nice placed inside to have coffee, snack of lunch. Salmon or trout sandwich is the best in town! Very easy to reach by metro, tram or bus.

The outside market is not much to see, but the Hall itself is the best Place for fish, meat, bread, cheeses... and everything. I visit this Hall frequently - nothing cheap, but always good quality, and you`ll find things you wont find anywhere else. Also, the atmosphere is something very unique! Nice cafes, also. Go there!

Quaint, right in the middle of town, lots of variety, good prices, lots of berries! I had the meat pie here for breakfast from the cafe and it was so good. Great place to just grab a coffee and hangout and people watch.

The best market in Helsinki, and perhaps in Finland. Fresh vegetables, good meat, fresh fish, ... and don't forget Finnish cheese.
