About
The collections of the Sinebrychoff Art Museum include some of the most valuable and internationally important paintings by old European masters to be found in Finland. The collections have mainly been made up of donations. The unique house museum of Paul and Fanny Sinebrychoff, a permanent exhibition on the 2nd floor makes up the core of the museum. The art collection of the Sinebrychoffs, including furniture and other artefacts was left to the Finnish government as a bequest in 1921.

Very nice collection of Finnish and international artists. Just take your time to visit and enjoy. Museum is located in Helsinki downtown so you can also enjoy the walk.

I visited the museum a few days ago; they are currently in preparation for a special exhibition, so not all of their "star" works are on show. This was disappointing as the entrance fee is a bit high (15 Euro) for what you get at present, which is basically a handful of rooms with a mix of art and furnishings. The decorated rooms on show are absolutely lovely and there are some amazing works of art (I particularly liked the two Corots on show). I understand Helsinki is an expensive city, but I just felt like the price/value ratio maybe wasn't there. If you want to see art in Helsinki that isn't modern or contemporary, my suggestion would be to visit the Ateneum and skip this. It is very nice to see the art hung in a residence as it was intended to be seen, but honestly there are only a few rooms where this is the case.

It's a decent hike from the Esplanade area, but it is on the way to the coast on the southwest side of the city, which is lovely to visit as well.

This art museum is housed in an old home. The art is quite good and the setting also lends a peaceful feeling. Less frequented than other museums in Helsinki, it gives an overview of one man's taste in art.

I always go here when I am in Helsinki, it is great old town house in the capital really peaceful, love to wander around this. Love the toilets and a super restaurant attached. Nice outside space and a nearby interesting flea market. If you love a small quirky museum this is the one for you.

Sinebrychoff Art Museum is located not far from central part of Helsinki, near perfect park. I would to see nice exhibition BLUE AND GOLD there, also I would to see some old portraits of members of Sinebrychoff family, because I read a lot of this famous family.
I spend more than hour in this museum and I was very pleased. Perfect interior and exhibitions!

It has a rather modest collection of European arts from the 14th to 19th century. Some of the icons and paintings are rather beautiful. Normal entry fee is 15 Euros, but the first Wednesday of the month is free. It's also free entry to the second floor. There are descriptions in English as well as explanatory cards in English for the displays. I browsed through the entire collection at a snail's pace in 1.5 hours.

Positively surprising visit to the museum, didn’t know in advance what to expect. Art collection is beautiful and the home museum in 2nd floor is impressive.

Start in the basement for a good understanding of the family who lived in this house, contributed to the community and accumulated the artworks, furniture and curios. The rooms are full of wonderful things to see. This is not a massive museum but well worth the visit and at least the hour or hour and a half you could spend here
