This is probably one of the best libraries I visited. It is surely an experience to go through the entire building. The design is fantastic. Especially the third floor where there is a dedicated section for small children. The entire library is brilliant architecture. MUST visit for anyone coming to Helsinki

This is a great library that is an architectural wonder. There are various areas for relaxing, reading, and studying throughout the building. It is located downtown beside the main train station. Definitely a place to visit while in Helsinki!

What a fantastic piece of modern architecture. Walking around the library made me feel like I wanted to just sit down, read and even go back to university. I was inspired by seeing all the young people making the most of this excellent library. I was impressed by all the opportunities available on the 2nd floor. Felt like I could just walk into the studio and make a record. I was fascinated by the 3d printing. But the top floor, with the light, the design and the books. Just wonderful.

Visited this library with friends recently, and this is a really impressive library! Modern look, huge literature sections, 3D printing areas, gaming rooms - it really has everything you could want! Wasn't planning to visit, but very glad that we did!

This is the koolest building ever and certainly the koolest library ever. It is HUGE and caters to everyone: oldies, children, babies. Lots of different areas to sit in, rooms for quiet work, comfortable seating. You just have to go to see it. I love a library but this is the beyond anything. The even have 3D printing available plus robots shuffling the books around.

We had fun exploring this library. The staircase as you enter is covered in various words, which were chosen by the library’s patrons. If you go to the top floor, there is a quirky look out up a wooden slope with views of the city.

The library is a public space owned by citizens and open to all people, it is a meeting place, a house of reading and a diverse urban experience. Oodi provides its visitors with knowledge, new skills and stories, and is an easy place to access for learning, relaxation and work. There are a wide range of books, reading materials, magazines, games. Moreover, the interior design is modern, apart from the top floor, Oodi’s facade is made entirely from wood, which softens the general appearance of the architecture around Töölö Bay. The wood used for the exterior wall is spruce. There are much reading areas for you, you can sit down to read or do your own things, the vibe is relax and slient, I would suggest you spending few hours of me-time here on your own things, which will be a fantastic experience!

Its not library as i know it... Lots of spaces. There are sewing machines for hire, childrens playing area, conference rooms, recording studio, cafe, 3D printers, and many more... Unfortunately, our guide did not allow us to stay longer. I was my favourite building in Helsinki...

This could well be the best building in the world. It is a fantastic library that wants to share knowledge with a different approach. The building itself is incredible. The best part however, is in the inside. Make sure to take a look ;).

If I lived in Helsinki I would come here every day to work, to read, to meet friends and to borrow all sorts of things other than books and avoid buying them. This is a library that thinks beyond a library. And then it is also an architectual pearl.
