Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Visiting Lapland and a Husky Park had been on my bucket list for a long time, and I am beyond happy that this dream finally came true! The park is beautifully maintained, and the huskies are incredibly friendly and affectionate. You can tell they are well taken care of and love what they do. The staff was also very welcoming and professional, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The staff member told us that the optimal temperature for huskies is around -25°C. Therefore, more dogs were pulling the sled that day (-2), to prevent them from overheating and overexerting themselves.
One of my favorite parts was reading the descriptions of each husky – they were so creative and made me laugh out loud! We pre-booked the 2 km ride online for my birthday, which allowed us to skip waiting times. The sled ride itself was absolutely magical, and our musher was both skilled and kind, ensuring we had the best experience possible.
It’s worth mentioning that my friend lost her phone in the sled, and the kind musher returned it to her between the rides :) Thank you!
After the ride, you can grab a bite at the Musher’s Tavern, even in the form of a Husky pancake - so cute. I can also recommend the meatballs – absolutely delicious!
I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone – whether you’re a dog lover, an adventure seeker, or simply looking for something unique. And if you happen to meet Zazu (my favorite Husky) in the park, please give him an extra pat from me!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A must-do!

The Husky Park at Santa Village is a fantastic spot to meet Siberian huskies up close. The meet and greet is a must-do, offering plenty of time to interact with the dogs and even feed them treats. The variety of huskies is great, and our kid’s favorite was a sweet husky named Batman. You find the Siberian huskies here while the sleigh ride at the farm has the Alaskan huskies (less fluffy but just as cute)
For sleigh rides, we recommend visiting a husky farm instead (see our other review). The rides at Santa Village are shorter, with long lines and less of a magical ambiance.
Overall, the meet and greet was truly once in a lifetime experience.

Great to see Husky,s and were looked after.
Very slow entrance, processing entry payments. We gave up and booked online and returned the next day.
Pricey experience until you realise how many dogs and staff are at Husky Park.

Unfortunately, considering the period, we only managed to do the 2km route which is still a wonderful experience that I recommend to everyone. We did it with our baby and it was exciting. Of course, if possible, I recommend at least the 5km tour to better enjoy the adventure.
For the rest the husky park isn't much.
By booking the tour you can then stop inside the park as long as you want to pet a (tied) husky and see the others locked in pens 😅
It is convenient as it is next to the SCV.

We pre-booked a Tiny Quarter Husky ride which allowed us access into the kennel area to see and pet the dogs before/after our ride experience. We met the lovely Batman who allowed us to pet him before we went for our sled ride. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Lapland and our daughter who is 4 has been talking about it ever since. We found the Tiny quarter, whilst quick, the perfect length for pur small family and we got a taste of both woodland and more open landscapes... amazing. Well organised and the handlers seemed to really understand their dogs. They were more than happy to take our photo in the sled for us too. Brilliant.

Enjoyed the 2.5 km ride and being able to walk around the husky park for as long as we wanted. We did think we had booked the meet and greet but had to pay extra on the day. This was the most informative and friendly experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and willing to encourage the children to feed and stroke the huskies. We went when the temperature dropped to -21 and we were able to warm up around the fire.

There are about 120 huskies and the staff know them well. The dogs are separated into kennels with between 2-4 dogs in each. They took us round the kennels, giving us information about the dogs and their personalities. We were able to pet the dogs through the fences. Some of them were very affectionate so it was hard to engage with them through the fence. At the end they take you into a play area and let out a couple of the kennels. They gave us treats to feed the dogs but they were more interested in playing with each other than the treats. There were also way too many people in the group. They probably could’ve run it slightly better by splitting the group into 2-3 smaller groups and only letting out one kennel at a time.

A really nice experience for the whole family. We were allowed to play with the dogs and feed them for half an hour, during which we were told a lot and questions on our part were explained. After that, we took the sled. The Huskies all made a satisfied impression and had fun doing so.Each dog has its own retreat and it seems to me that great importance is placed on their needs. We would definitely come back.

We had a 45min guided tour with a guy called Hemi. He was very enthusiastic and clearly loved all the huskies and was very knowledgeable and informative each dogs job. After the tour we qued to do the 1km husky ride for about 25mins which was OK but when it was our turn to go we showed the tour guide who was called PAVVO our tickets which we had done online through the Santa Clause village 2 days previously he would not let us on as he said they had to be printed. He was also rude to another customer in front of us. I went back to the information desk where we ordered our tour and they said this should not have happened. They printed off our tickets and we just had enough time to get our ride down. It was a great tour only for this and I would recommend it as all tge other staff were very friendly

The park is located within the Santa Claus Village, a stone's throw from the main square, easy to reach and well signposted.
The area that can be visited freely with the basic ticket consists of several enclosures surrounded by beautiful trees, where dogs rest and play happily. On each fence are marked the names and characteristics of each dog, complete with a sign about who likes to cuddle and who does not.
The dogs are wonderful, healthy, well kept, I'm just sorry I didn't opt for the visit with the possibility to access an area to play with them without a net in between.
We also ate at Musher's Tavern, absolutely recommended place, cozy and delicious.

I’m looking too book a 2km ride for myself, husband and 2 kids (5yrs & 3yrs). I saw prices are for 4yrs and up. Are 3yr olds allowed on the ride? Also do you have transport to your farm from Rovaniemi city center. I would like to know the best way to get to there. Booking directly with you is much cheaper than through a tour company as they cost 125€+ per person. Thank you.

I saw from the website that the husky ride cost €30 for 500m,€40 for 2km, jus wanna check if thermal overall is included in this price or we have to pay additional for the rental of the thermal overall?

Hi and thank you for your message! Unfortunately we don't offer thermal clothing, I am sorry. However, you don't need anything special, just normal winter clothes are more than fine. :) We have reindeer furs in the sled to sit on, and you can also ask our guides some blankets to warm you up, if you like.
Wishing you a lovely day!
