Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Maybe it was because of visiting Santa Claus Village during May when it was very much out of the season, but I didn't meet Santa. When I was at the building, Santa was on his lunch break. And considering the whole atmosphere at the Village during summer, I didn't make the effort to wait for Santa to return from his lunch break and talk to him. Since there was no right setup, it would felt very cheesy to me.
Besides meet and greet place with Santa, there is also a giant souvenir shop inside of this place.

If you did not manage to catch up with Santa at the village, here is another one located in his office in the Rovaniem mall. He is a friendly chap and expensive for a photo but still cheaper then the village dude.

There are two Santa Claus visits/photo opportunities in the Santa Claus Village. One in the restaurant/gift shop area and one in the Santa Claus office. The one in the Santa Claus office is definitely better, but it was very busy so we skipped it on our first day and then made sure we were first in line for the 10 am opening the following day. You spend no more than a few minutes with Santa which is really just a photo opportunity which costs a whopping EUR 35 for a single image. Let's be honest, it's a complete rip-off, but one that you're willing to pay for a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Bags of fun. Free parking. Prices very fair. Enjoyed the whole village not just the Santa post office. Would say you could spend a full half day around the village with some pleasant walks.

Yes, there are a lot of souvenier shops and it is super touristy but it was still so fun! We loved crossing the Arctic Circle, enjoyed the fun vibes of all the kids so excited to experience Santa's workship and especially enjoyed the post office.

This was our first place to visit when arriving at Santa Claus Village. It was nice, not too busy & loads of postcards all around 1 euro each to send home in proper real post boxes!! We bought 6 stamps & with 8 postcards it came to 25 euros... so quite expensive to actually post but still a nice experience!

We first had a look at this experience in the afternoon and found a very long queue that was not moving at all, so we decided to come back in the evening shortly before they close. That was a good idea. There was no one ahead of us and we were able to comfortably walk the way to Santas office. They have really done that nicely.
When you get there you are greeted by really cute looking elves. You can visit Santa for free, but you can also buy a gift that you/your child gets from him for 28 Euros. We opted for that and the gift was definitely worth the price, so no rip off here. We were then led to Santa and he really looked great and was very nice. He even spoke some German which was important to our daughter, because she said: if he doesn’t speak German he is fake. So he spoke German and she was really impressed. We had quite a long chat with him, probably because of the not busy time of the day. It was a really nice experience which we all enjoyed.
After that you can buy the photos and video they make. That is not cheap, but hey, you only meet Santa once….

Hope this helps.

We were two adults, almost 2 hours queuing to see a lifeless old fart sitting in an armchair, listless and expressionless. There are two elves, one takes pictures and the other checks that you don't pass the rules (rules not written anywhere). You can't get too close and you have to sit away from him.

PS. Everyone says in this office he's the original Santa, but obviously he's not the only one impersonating him, sometimes they use other impersonators. Read the reviews both positive and negative carefully before deciding whether to visit him or not.

Large group of 300 cut the queue of only 5 people. Increased waiting time over an hour! Very bad management, bad organisation skills, worst example of hospitality business.
