Arctic Lifestyle is a safari house and program service company based in Rovaniemi, Finland. We aim to provide unforgettable experiences to our customers through the spell of Lappish nature, first class equipment and experienced staff. Our snowmobiles are the newest sport models on the market and the rest of our equipment is of similar standard. We provide services year round. Snowmobile safaris in Winter and early Spring, Jetski safaris, Midnight Sun excursions, fishing trips and watersports in Summer and early Autumn. Hiking, trekking, silence of nature experiences in Autumn. And much more! Also feel free to ask for tailor-made programs.

Organization was great, the place for the overals, the location, the White forest...really beautifull. I want to specially thanks our nice guide: Lenny. We were a really challenging group with 6 adults and 6 children (4 to 8 years) and Lenny was simply amazing. Kind, kids friendly, patient, attentive. He absolutely made the trip as special as it was. Our guide was Lenny ( Leonard) From the start, Lenny was very friendly and easy going and we had the absolute best time and highly recommend this tour There was a substantial time to enjoy the snow mobile and soak up the icy, gorgeous frozen landscape of Rovaniemi. It was very safe and Lenny explained each process thoroughly The husky ride was also something we will not forget, wish we could do it over and over again. The sleigh was surprisingly quite comfortable Definitely a highlight of our trip to Rovaniemi! - Izabela RDublin, Ireland95 contributionsFanstastic tour guide and fantastic premium combo!After a long research we booked a Premium Combo safari for all day with Arctic Lifestyle. The communication with the company when making a booking was excellent. Then once we arrived to Rovaniemi it turned out that is way below 20degrees and we were with 2 small kids age 8 and 4 and we got worried a bit. Totally unnecessary. We hit a jackpot with our tour guide Lenny, who we had just for ourselves and he spent with us a whole day and made it really very enjoyable for our kids and us. The tour started by bringing us to the company's base where we got changed into the winter clothes and our boys just got helmets, as they were already properly dressed for this cold. None of us drove snowmobiles ever before and Lenny made sure to explain to us not only how to drive but how to make it enjoyable for us. We both had our own snowmobiles to drive which was what we booked and we absolutely loved it. Lenny's tips as to how the machines behave on the snow helped us a lot and after a short while we really had a blast and enjoyed the long ride through the frozen river in a lovely wintery landscape. The kids drove together with our tour guide and they loved it! Then we arrived to the place nearby the reindeer farm where we had a short ride on a sleigh pulled by one reindeer. They had a lovely fireplace to warm up and after the ride we could go and feed the reindeers. We also got an interesting lecture inside the little house about the reindeers farm and had cookies and hot tea/juice. We couldn’t wait to jump back onto the snowmobiles again and we took our time for lovely photos and turns back to the base. In spite of the coldness we really had a great time. Lenny made sure our kids are safe and happy. After that we drove to the Santa’s Village for a lovely and scrumptious lunch buffet which was included in the price of the safari. And then last but not least the icing on the cake for me personally – the husky ride. We drove outside Rovaniemi to Huskypoint a lovely kennel where you could see that there are absolutely passionate about what they do. I drove one sleigh – their guide explains how to do it – one thing to remember not to let go of the sleigh! The huskies love running and are very happy to do it and they hate when you put on breaks. All in all this is a great safari well worth its steep price and all great activities which we wanted to do in Lapland combined in one day. Lenny our tour guide was truly exceptional. He was extremely kind and patient with our kids and we felt they were well taken care of. He really made our day. We always felt safe. Lennert also has a great personality and myself and my husband loved his companion. We truly recommend the Premium Combo with Arctic Safari and if you are lucky enough to get a tour guide like Lenny you will have an unforgettable day filled with fantastic memories!Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 18 February 2024

I wanted to do the Husky Safari on the 26th (very last minute) and then somehow I found this local-tour organizing agency. The price I paid was a bit higher than others that I have seen before, but when I got to their "office", I could totally know why. Their office is much more well-constructed and more spacious.
Although the Husky Safari was organized by their partner, the staff at Arctic Lifestyle prepared us well for the upcoming outdoor craziness. And even after we got back from our activity to the office, the staffs there treated us well - we were served with hot tea with milk aside, and biscuits! Therefore, a big special thanks to the cute blonde girl - Maija!!!! She is the nicest and the most passionate person I had met in Finland. She even took care of my mom's potential bruising leg by offering her some ice... and by the time we gotta leave to catch our train, the taxi somehow was not showing up. Then she asked another super nice staff - Marcus - to send us to the train station. We are so touched that they went out of their ways to help us out. Really, thank you so much!!! Def recommend for anyone who wants to go on tours with this local tour company. Again, Maija and Marcus, thank you so much!

We visited Rovaniemi from the 23rd-27th dec with a group of 10 (two family’s). During our stay we took part in a number of arctic lifestyles tours including hot and cold sauna, huskies and snowmobiles galore, ice carting race and highlights of your arctic journey. As a group we all had a fantastic time and would recommend anyone travelling to rovaniemi to look into the tours these guys offer.
The company owner, JP was very approachable and did a great job organising our tours, everything ran very smoothly and pick up was always at the time they had organised. He provided us with his personal number and any time we had any questions he was more than happy to help out.
Our tour guide for the 4 days, Tuomas I could not speak more highly of. He went out of his way to ensure our trip was one to remember. He picked us up from the airport, cooked a number of our meals, helped some of us trek through deeper parts of the snow, took us to the supermarket even helping us shop for groceries, and taught us all about life in Rovaniemi. It was as if he was part of the group and we were all sad to leave him as we continued our journey.
To anyone looking into this kind of holiday I could not recommend these guys enough.

Most fantastic time! We spent 4 nights in rovamnimi and all activities were provided through arctic lifestyle, we went snowmobiling, reindeer sledding, taken to Santa's village, snow dog sledding were taken to some incredible scenic views and even cooked food by our tour guide Tuomas. Tuomas was our tour guide for each of these experience and he went out of his way to make sure we had a good time, even off the clock would help us if he could. Would highly recommend asking for Tuomas V as you will have a great time filled with laughs

So my wife and I chose to do the Backwoods Experience, six hours on snow mobiles in the forests of Lapland. I hadn’t done snowmobile before, while my wife had had some experience previously. I thought it would be hard work, but we were fortunate to have Anna as our guide. She made our trip such a fun experience and I have not laughed so much for such a last time. We followed the tracks for a while, and saw some fantastic countryside before hitting some open flats, where special skills were shown to us by Anna. She was able to be a teacher to us while still making this a fun experience,
We had a few hiccups thrown to us by nature, and Arctic Lifestyle were quick to provide additional support to help us out. Lunch was in a Finnish hut on a hilltop, where Anna provided some traditional Finnish food.
This was an excellent snowmobile trip for us, and one that we will never forget. PS, ask for Anna to be your guide.

My husband had been to Rovaneimi on business many year ago and as we have both wanted to see the Northern Lights we took the bull by the horns and had a fantastic few days - made very special by Artic Lifestyle and their guides in particular Tommo Nevala, who we were lucky enough as a private guide ( only because we were the only ones to book ) to have for the Ice fishing ( he is born fisherman!! ) the visit to Santas village , the Snowmobile ride and the Reindeer farm visit ! He was very warm and welcoming as well as extremely helpful and fun to be with !
The first trip we did with Artic Lifestyle was a Two Hour Huskey Safari which was well organised , informative and loads of fun. The warm berry juice and biscuits after was very nice as well!
Then we did the the " Fisherman's luck " trip on a beautiful crisp sunny morning where we were taught to drill hole in the ice, how to ice fish and treated to hot Chocolate and sausages cooked on a fire on the ice whilst we sat on warm Reindeer skins .
The last tour we did with them was the " Highlights of your Artic journey, which started in Santas village with its post office and the Artic circle which runs right through it , a visit to see Santa ( which we loved, even at our age ! ) and ended with Reindeer soup for lunch. We then had to put on the Thermal kit they lent you and pick up our Snowmobile- we zoomed along the river to the Reindeer farm we we learnt a lot about Reindeers and earned our " Reindeer Driving Licence". After this we went up one of the hills through the forest to get a wonderful view of the snow covered valley followed by a fun Snowmobile ride back to town!
For all tours apart from Santa's Village we were loaned very good thermal clothes to put on top of our many layers( 4 layers in some cases!!) to make sure we didn't get cold and they made a huge difference.
Thank you Artic Lifestyle and Tommo for a really wonderful very memorable visit !

Me and my partner took a Snowmobile aurora hunting tour. And we know it's not guaranteed, that we're actually gonna see anything. But they suggested that particular day because it was very clear night.
The day we went was really cold, up to -35 our guide said, but they dressed us up in nice warm overalls, supplied warm boots, thick mittens and even woolen socks. I didn't feel cold at all, plus the snowmobiles have hand warmers built in.
After around a 30 minute drive' our guide Ville took us to this nice spot up the hillside where there was a little cabin thingy where we lit a fire, grilled some delicious sausages, marshmallows and had hot tea,coffee or chocolate.
After around 10 minutes we could already see a faint greenish spot in the sky and the more time passed the crazier it got. The green got brighter and brighter, changing its shape and location every few seconds. After about 2 hours we could even see purple hue. And it really did look like on the pictures online.
To sum it up we are very pleased with Arctic Lifestyle, everything was just how I expected, fancy snowmobiles, extreme cold, peace and quiet in deep woods with lots and lots of snow, and a cozy fire to grill some snacks on. And of course the main event of the night, the amazing light show "aurora borealis" . Definitely a night I won't forget.
Big thanks to our guide Ville, who took really good care of us, he was engaged, chatty and knowledgeable about the Lappish environment and Aurora.

We had 2 trips with these guys!! And oh my god!!!! 100% recommend to anyone!!!
1st trip! Xmas eve, 6 hrs snowmobiles and huskies galore! I can't even explain how good this was! Our guides were anssi and Amanda,, they were awesome!! The trip was amazing through pine forests, over frozen river, huskys were fantastic!! Cannot say how good this was!!!!
2nd trip 3hours snowmobiles and reindeer!! Beautiful!! The guy, think his name was., veil - matti. Went above and beyond to make our trip special!! Took us to open field with fresh snow!
Cannot wait to return!!! Highly recommend to anyone!!! Thanks guys x x.

This activity is fantastic, highly recommended. We found Arctic Lifestyle well organised & really helpful, indeed they went out of their way to help us get swiftly to our next excursion (with another operator) when the karting ran over time. Thanks again for that guys. This activity starts at 5pm though you need to arrive at the firms centrally located office 30 minutes prior to get kitted out. The oversuits are warm as well as protective. You're then driven around 15 minutes out of town to the circuit. No experience is required, the only stipulation is that you are over 1.4 metres in height. Participants were a mix of adults & children including my 9 year old for whom this was THE highlight of the trip. Anticipate 2 sessions each on track & factor in 2 & a half hours from arrival to finish. The activity is huge fun & staff endlessly good natured & energetic as they pull you out of snowy banks that you'll inevitably plough into at least once. Fab fun, fab firm.

Had booked two snow mobile trips with this company, but only ended up going on one, as so disappointed by the first. We were a large group and the blokes wanted to go ice fishing. There were four of them. First off, Arctic Lifestyle changed the scheduled departure time at the last minute, which impacted our other plans - fine on its own! Secondly though, when the boys were picked up there weren't even enough seats and seat belts in the car for all the people - they had to squish in without belts. Third the distance they were supposed to cover as advertised on the website was very different to what they actually covered - they did much less snowmobiling, and ended up driving a car to the ice fishing location which defeated the purpose of the "safari". Further to this they were advised to go away from the group as the skill level of other riders was poor and they were driving very, very (very!) slowly. I am not sure that this is standard practise but a number of the riders had incidences on this trip - 3 drivers had accidents (not all from our group!) - we had all been snow mobiling in Levi, without issue. Its great to have powerful equipment and all, but again, this combined to quite ruin the trip. Further to this, having paid an excess, around 300 euro, I have requested information, and details regarding the incident and the insurance excess paid, for a month following, and have received no communication from the company, leaving us unable to arrange an insurance claim at our end - for which we had been insured!!!. The group signed no paperwork, and were given no information before the safari or at the time of the payment. We went on numerous other safaris with other companies and had an exceedingly good time. Had the company communicated with me around this issue, I would have not had cause to write this bad review. They get 2/5 for getting my husband an ambulance, even though he was forced to drive a snowmobile with a dislocated shoulder.

We joined the arctic hike and we absolutely loved it. Our guide Marcus was fantastic and has made our tour very fun and eye opening. We did a short hike into the forest and the scenery was simple breathtaking. During the tour Marcus has showed us how to make a fire from scratch, made food and drinks, and he also shared with us a lot of interesting facts and stories. Before joining this tour we actually joined tours offered by other companies, our experiences with those companies were not as good compared to this one. Arctic lifestyle was the best and different in a sense that they really gave us the true experience of arctic life. Overall it was a very organised and fun tour, we really enjoyed it.

Hi, I would like to know if your attraction were the "Family Safari" (3h) ?
In this case, could you tell how many times adults and childrens drive the snowmobile ?

Dear Jean-Sébastian,
the snowmobiling in the family safari is around 1 hour. Additionally there is the camp fire part, snow fun game part as well as a dedicated track where kids can try the mini skiidoos under supervision of the guide.
