We had booked the Deeper Forest Safari and lucky us, we we're the only ones. Our guide of the day was Sarra and she managed to make it an unforgettable day.
First warm overalls, boots and gloves, than everything yo need to know to start the safari and off you go.
In the middle we "parked" the dogs (Sarra does everything, you just have to stand on the 'break') for a quick berry juice and switch of 'drivers.
Back at the husky farm, you can see how difficult it is to get the dogs back in their bunkers, they are way to excited and want to run another tour!
After the tour, we could see a video, explaining how it goes on a husky race. The real treat was to hold a 5weeks old puppy!
What a day!!!!

We travelled with our 8 and 9 year old children, we all loved this experience.

We’d rang Huskypoint direct to book the half hour husky favourite. It was worth every penny, I wish we’d booked a longer safari. Staff were excellent, spoke English, very knowledgeable and helpful. Friendly gentle dogs. Amazing forest safari with 6 dogs pulling our sled. One adult “drives” the sled with 1 adult and 2 children in the sled. It’s not difficult and always felt very safe. You can use the Husky Point snow over suits if you like and they have boots and gloves to borrow. I was glad of my very warm clothing and ski goggles and it was only -4C.

After the safari we looked round the kennels, met the dogs, had hot berry juice and watched a video in the Kota building with a roaring fire.

We drove there, it’s an easy 20 minute drive from Rovaniemi. There’s a free car park.

Would strongly recommend this experience.

Our Husky Point sledding was the highlight of our trip to Finland and Sweden. They picked us up at our hotel, educated us on the sled outing, and helped us dress properly before the trip. The guides were great and they keep an eye on you in their snowmobiles throughout the trip. the scenery is breathtaking and the dogs are exceptional. WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. We will never forget it! THE BEST!

Absolutely amazing day, best in Finland..,

Started our trip , with a wonderful, friendly girl, who picked us up from our accommodation.

On arrival we got changed into the appropriate clothing, with the help of our guide who was also fantastic and fun.

All dressed & warm, we where off to meet the dogs.
Who where ready to run,we first where given instructions on how to ride the sled 🛷 and slow the dogs down, what different hand signals meant as well. Safety first.

we where asked who wanted to drive and who wanted to sit in the sled, we where able to swap driver and rider half way through sled ride. We went sledding through the most amazing track all white covered in thick snow the view was fantastic. At the top/half way there was a teepee with a fire place and we had a rest as did the dogs.

We when returned back to the start and where then allowed to play with the dogs and got to meet each one of them and was told about how they become in the position the run in. Once back to Huskypoint we had a hot drink and seen the rest of the huskies.

Highly recommended to anyone visiting Finland 🇫🇮. Thanks for a great day.

Very friendly and well organized, the groups are small, even the premises and "kota" are very well kept. I had the feeling they are not so commercial as the bigger companies. It is amazing that you get to know the mushers, they supervise and organize the trips so you get first hand information from the actual people that participate (quite successfully as you will find out) in dog sleigh competitions. I wish them all good luck in both mushing and tourism.
You will not forget this experience anytime soon and luckily for all the good reasons! Amazing!

I did the sleigh ride in deep winter time and wow, come prepared otherwise you will become a Popsicle stick!!

I chose to do the morning sleigh ride and it costed around 140 Euros and would have taken roughly 4 hours all up.
Included in the price was; free transfers too and from hotel, winter clothes (boots, socks, gloves, beanie, scarf and snow suit), 2hour+ sleigh ride (where it is generally a 20km trip with two people to a sleigh, one sits in it and one controls it....you switch half way through), natural warm berry juice and biscuits (at the half way point in a tent with a fire) and also a tour of the Husky farm.

When you hire out the clothes and learn about how to control the sliegh the guides take you over to the huskies who are ready for action. Now these dogs can hear you coming a mile away and would have to be the most excited and happiest dogs you would ever see in your entire life...they love running and love the sleigh.
When you get to the sleighs you jump in with your partner (for me i was a third wheel so i got partnered up with a tour guide....which was great as he let me control the sleigh for 15km ) and away you go

The trail takes you up and down hills through tracks that have been made for the sleighs. However there is so much to take in, from the heavily snow covered trees, to hillside views, sleighing on a frozen lake which is waist deep in snow, hearing the dogs heavy breathing, watching them rub their face in the snow as they run to even seeing them poo while they run....

I've written enough...go there, enjoy it! Best thing I've ever done.

We booked a Two Hour Husky Safari in Rovaniemi with Safartica. Apart from an excellent and personal service while we were on our tour, they did an outstanding extra: they extended our parking ticket for our car next to there office in Rovaniemi. We were extremely thankful for this kind support. Furthermore our guide was very attentive and helped us with a lot of patience. Thank you once again very much.

Great way get up close & personal with a husky & learn about how incredible these dogs are. They are so well cared for and happy. They are ready to interact with tour groups. After meeting the dogs, we were taken to a delightful log cabin with a central fire place. We were given warm coffee or juice & biscuits & shown a DVD demonstrating how these wonderful creatures love to run (in racing) & partner with their 'musher'. We;; worth seeing.
