Amazing guide

We had a great time with our amazing guide Jenni through 3 tours and an excellent lunch, prepared outdoors. She is incredibly helpful, accomodating and patient. We had an amazing introduction to Finnish culture from her. We were very lucky to have her.

Hugo is the BEST!!

Midnight Picnic. This trip was so enjoyable and memorable because of Hugo. Yes the view. Transportation. Food. Warm gear preparation was a 10/10. But despite an unsuccessful AB sighting. It will be memorable because of our informative, personable and accommodating tour guide Hugo! Thank you for all you did to maximize our excursion. Thank you!!

A magical day berry hunting in the woods

This was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had in my 54 years on this planet.

Our tour guide Martin, was fabulous. We went into the forest near a lake and picked wild blueberries & cloudberries. Martin knew exactly where to take us so that we were able to pick the elusive cloudberries.

What made this tour so special was Martin’s authentic love and respect for nature. He was so excited to share with us the beauty and majesty of the Lapland environment, as well as explaining to us the stewardship values for nature ingrained in the Finnish people.

Martin provide the perfect balance between engaging in conversation and allowing us time to explore and connect with nature. He showed us how to make fresh blueberry juice over an open fire. There is nothing quite like enjoying the Lapland beauty while drinking freshly made, warm blueberry juice on a chilly day. And, no other berry tastes quite like cloudberries.

I would readily take another tour with Safartica if we had more time in Lapland. Especially if the tour was led by Martin.

Must Try when you are in the arctic circle

The experience of floating in the freezing arctic water was quite surreal. For the time in floating on the water, you just concentrate on floating and the surroundings. The team that took care of us was friendly and helpful. They helped me in and out of the drysuits and took photos and videos for me using my mobile phone.
It would be good to bring a change of clothes just in case there are small leaks in the suit. Fortunately my drysuit was perfect but the 2 other ladies in my group had a soaking sock and another pants. We managed to see a faint Northern Light at the end of the activity.

Experience Lapland at its best!

It was an amazing trip! We went to a beautiful site, ate delicious local food ( even veggie options) and learned a lot about the aurora and Lapland! We walked around in a thick layer of snow and stayed warm in a tipi with a fire. Luck was on our side because we were able to spot the northern lights! A big thank you to our guide Suzanna, with her knowledge, hospitality and enthusiasm she made it truly unforgettable!!

Only one thing cheap snowmobile
Was ok, like others they borrow you overalls which are very warm. First time on snowmobile, steering was tricky but i learned from other tour that if this is the case most like cheap made snowmobile as the weight only is in front and not spread till the end. It was true as we done 3 tours in kittila and were much better and easier. It was fun as it was our 1st ride. Went fishing no catch 🤣. Martin and timothy were really great, especially Martin 😁Oh i forgot they cooked reindeer soup, and provided hot cranberry juice in which its their custom.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to leave the review! Great you enjoyed the company of our guides and the experience overall :) As for snowmobiles, we use Lynx Adventure or Xtrim models, which are, subjectively, the best touring snowmobiles in the industry. Plus, they are locally manufactured. Of course brands and models are matters of personal preference, but either way these machines are some of the best in class. Snow conditions that can change even during one day, as well as track conditions play a huge role in how the steering feels. Driver's experience and physical shape is another factor. What is possible, if it was a very busy day, you drove some of a bit older snowmobiles. Snowmobiling takes some time to get used to, so it's totally normal that your first time felt somewhat difficult ;) Cheers from Lapland

Not recommend it went about 30mins off city but bus. No information regarding aurora. Went there made a fire than the two supposedly are guides ramon and pietro cooked & provided a sausage and hot cranberry juice. They stayed inside the camp while all of us outside. No auroras occurred its not their fault but at least the 3hrs tour explain educate
