Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are in the area, this was the best museum of the three we visited! Well laid out, local art, and interesting to see stuff from the area.

We visited this museum last December and were surprised that everything has been changed.
The art is very contemporary but mostly interesting.
The museum is much smaller than Kiasma in Helsinki but offers so much more.

Korundi House of Culture is the home of the Rovaniemi Art Museum and Lapland Chamber Orchestra. Korundi hosts exhibitions of Finnish contemporary art and concerts.
The building was originally constructed in 1933 to serve as a mail truck depot. It is one of the few buildings to remain in Rovaniemi after World War II.

A great surprise to find such interesting contemporary art in a small regional city. It isn't so big you run out of steam, and I was able to spend time really appreciating my favourite works without being rushed.

Visited once again in Mar 19. Ever changing exhibitions are always interesting and on Thursdays free entry from 6 to 8pm. Well worth a visit whether you have to pay or not, good gift shop as well. Tickets for concerts in the theatre are always reasonably priced and the Lapland Chamber orchestra are excellent if one gets the chance to see them.

This art museum is in my top 5 worldwide. The collection was absolutely captivating!!! The collection does rotate without a static exhibition, as is the case with many smaller art museums. There was a mix of all forms, and gorgeous indigenous music playing throughout. I was pleasantly surprised to arrive on the third floor to realize the music was live... and an exhibit in and of itself. Parts of this museum brought me to tears, an experience I’ve only had through an art museum once before. Do not miss this museum. I walked through twice during the free hours of 1800-2000 on Thursdays!

If you have to pick a museum and only have time for one, Arktikum is the way to go, as it is more tailored to Finland and Rovaniemi.
However, if you get the pass and come here, it’s a nice smaller museum with some interesting art. It seemed to be mostly local artwork and really had all types of artwork. Nice gift shop as well!
