Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Korundi House of Culture in Rovaniemi is a true gem for art and culture enthusiasts. During our visit, we were captivated by an inspiring art exhibition that beautifully showcased the world from a northern perspective. The space itself is a harmonious blend of history and modernity.
Home to the Rovaniemi Art Museum and the Lapland Chamber Orchestra, Korundi brings together artists and viewers in a unique and engaging way. Korundi truly is a space where art and culture thrive, making it a must-visit destination in Rovaniemi. Highly recommended!

Korundi House of Culture is the home of the Rovaniemi Art Museum and Lapland Chamber Orchestra. Korundi hosts exhibitions of Finnish contemporary art and concerts.
The building was originally constructed in 1933 to serve as a mail truck depot. It is one of the few buildings to remain in Rovaniemi after World War II.

Went to the "Art of Lapland" exhibition and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Very well organised place and ample room to move around, have a coffee and cake and just enjoy the art on display. Worth a visit.

Visited once again in Mar 19. Ever changing exhibitions are always interesting and on Thursdays free entry from 6 to 8pm. Well worth a visit whether you have to pay or not, good gift shop as well. Tickets for concerts in the theatre are always reasonably priced and the Lapland Chamber orchestra are excellent if one gets the chance to see them.

We visited this museum last December and were surprised that everything has been changed.
The art is very contemporary but mostly interesting.
The museum is much smaller than Kiasma in Helsinki but offers so much more.

If you have to pick a museum and only have time for one, Arktikum is the way to go, as it is more tailored to Finland and Rovaniemi.
However, if you get the pass and come here, it’s a nice smaller museum with some interesting art. It seemed to be mostly local artwork and really had all types of artwork. Nice gift shop as well!

Visited thinking it was an art gallery - it is however there are only a few exhibits. When we visited, there were 2 however neither are permanent. Nice and spacious, some hands on activities and a quaint gift shop. Nice way to break from the cold :)

I visited the Korundi House of Culture with a guided tour in August 2016. The art collection is deliberately Lapland focussed and therefore quite landscape dominated but this was not a weakness. I found it actually a surprisingly good and eclectic mix of art that surprised and delighted. The main Reidar Särestöniemi exhibit was worth the entry fee in its own right and the large textile piece also excellent. Magnificent. Worth a visit.

This was a great way to spend a morning. The artwork is local and tells stories about the region. Not all of the art appealed to me but a lot of it was quite moving. Plus, there is a "Culture Pass" to visit Korundi, Pilke and Arktikum for one lower fee that it made this visit all the more worthwhile.
