Santa Park is the much much better option that Santa Village. We took our seven year old for two full days 4th and 5th January 2023.
It is much warmer and u can spend the whole day there.
The staff are very much more friendlier than at the Santa Claus Village.
Better still the option of going the next day and doing things you liked the second time.
Food buffet is also reasonably priced.
Go have a great time!

Place is not very big and commercial but I think it's great value for money- you get 2 days pass. Highly recommended for families with small children. Great option for very cold day as everything is indoors.
You can do some activities multiple times and the queues weren't bad early Jan.
Elves Acrobats show was really nice and kids enjoyed it.

We visited Santa Park on January 7th.
Once in we discovered this was last day of business for 2023 season.
The place is amazing. Built underground. Everything happens indoor. All attractions are free and there is plenty activities to do with the standard entry tickets. No need to upgrade any special offer.
Our top choice activities:
- Elf school
- Elf Show
- magic train
- arts & Craft
- ginger bread decoration
- Santa post office
- Santa’s office
The atmosphere is magic. Maybe because we ended up here the last day of activity was not that busy, so no long queues and in the shops all products were 50% 0ff.

This place is Nice for kids, but as an adult you can see it's nothing special. There are couple od theme rooms, santa's place, cookie decorating place, one short theme train rude, elf school. I must say that elf school eas complete waist od time, first you wait on long row, go inside and then "school" starta. Two girls pretend to ne elfes and they teach you how Elfs ste working for santa. Show was so boring that 50% of People gave up and went out on the middle of it. Shops at this place are nothing special. For me, ice room was best part od this place.

It is not worth money charged - queues are long, not too many activities, lunch hardly could be worse, no chance to sit down for the show unless you start being seated 30-40 mins in advance, elf school is virtually non-existent as there is simply no room for everyone.

After seeing the great reviews we felt we couldn't miss this magical park on our 4 day trip. Well, I can tell you now we feel we wasted one of our precious days. Its just one big queuing session. We queued to get in which could be forgiven. Then queued to get into the ice room. Queued to get on the VR sleigh ride. Couldn't even queue foe the first show of the day because by the time we were done with the sleigh ride the hall was jam-packed not a seat or place to stand. OK, we will catch a later show. Boy was I wrong.. queued then squeezed into the packed elf school, unable to sit as a family, some of us sitting on stairs. TWO hours queuing to meet the big man in the red suit, who was fairly miserable and by which point kids were fed up. And we gave up queuing for lunch! Never managed to catch a single show every one of them full and lunch line never did go away. Toilets bins were overflowing and ever soap dispenser empty, and the fact its marketed at children yet the sinks are at adult height l. Such a disappointing day. And all these reviews talking about value for money. Almost everything's a shop, and you have to buy everything on top of your extortionate entry fee! Gingerbread biscuits, photos with santa, plus avoiding every shop full of toys. I genuinely cannot understand the reviews I read that led us to visit, because having been other places subsequently, I'm gutted. All this would be less irritating if it wasn't so expensive to get in.

Main reason for poor review is the price and the extreme overcrodedness. We are a family of five, so the entrance fee was 192 euros. As we visited on a Saturday in December, we mostly stood in lines the whole time. There are about 6 main attractions, each a couple of minutes long (except Elf School, which takes a bit longer, and decorating a cookie which takes as long as you like), but you need to queue for most of them 30 minutes or longer, so the kids were pretty exhausted. The ticket is valid for two days but there honestly is not enough for two days, without the queues you would be done in a couple of hours tops.
We liked the 20 minute Elf show, but since we were standing in line at the time of the performances, it was difficult to fully enjoy it. Also on the good side, Santa was very nice and chatty!
All in all, I can understand the long queues in December and if it was not so pricey, it would have been an okay experience.

This is the thematic cave that will take you to a different world despite if you are a child or an adult.
From the entrance with the lights and wild life sounds until the post, ice bar and all the other things, everything is designed to make you feel you are in a fairytale.

We loved our VEP day at Santa Park. The elf show and little rides were perfect for our 8 & 5 year old. The Santa experience was a little disappointing, rushed us through and didn't give us much warning for our official photograph, despite there not being any queue. The staff who were elves were great though; they really engaged with the children and that made a huge difference. The food was expensive so we were lucky to have had it included in the price, and by the time we sat down for lunch it was quiet so we could pick a table near he stage for the next show. There was a craft area which could have had a little more help i but was a nice freebie to do. The Gingerbread decorating was also self led but was still fun. The Ice princess area was cleverly set up and the children loved their ice glass and drink (it was a very small shot sized drink). The shop area was our first one so it apeared a bit pricey for some things but after visiting Santa Village later in our trip we realised that Santa Park was much better value. We spent a pretty relaxed full day there! My husband and I were surprised to find out the Cavern was an ex air shelter built underground. It really was part of the magic that you walked down two big tunnels to get into the network of smaller areas. The children loved it, and we felt it was good value for money. Definitely recommend!

We visited the theme park this Christmas. Apart from the fact that everything is set in a closed area and it is not cold at all, the scenery is well designed and travels you to Christmas adventures. The price for the activities offered is very good. We loved all the activities and the staff did their best to lift spirits and create a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommended and well done to the management.

Dear Elf Josefiina,
Can you send me your mail address i have some questions about my trip to Santa Claus village...
Thank
Best regards,
Aleksandra
We are looking at going to lapland before christmas with a 4 and 6 year old, i was wondering if we stayed at santa park and did the dream of joulukka would the kids be confused, as would they see too many santas!? Or could we do both and only visit at joulukka? Also is the joulukka the santa village? Only just looking so any places to stay or recommendations?
Also is it possible to stay 1 night in actual snow igloo? And is hiring a car essential to do all of these things??
Thanks so much for any advice, just trying to get my head around the options for a holiday of a lifetime!!!

Hi
Do Santa park and Santa Village operate in April?
Thank you.

Just checked their website and looks like they may not be open. I would suggest emailing them directly for confirmation. Santa’s Village is open all year round. We were there at Christmas so of course they were open. Enjoy your trip. If u are looking for other tours check out Safartica. We booked three tours with them and they were excellent!

What is the difference between Santa Park and Santa Claus village? Are they related or different places? What can we visit in July?
kasperii
Jyväskylä, Finland3 contributions
They are different places but are complimentary in many ways. Santa Park is a complete experience with a single entrance fee. There you have an elf school, workshops, ice gallery and many more. Kids love Santa Park. Santa Claus Village has no entry fee and has much shopping opportunities. Both places have there ”meet the Santa” experiences and kn the Village it does not even cost anything. For additional cost, the Village offers husky riding, reindeer activities and other things to do. Both places are open in July and from the website you can see what is happening every day. We visit both places every summer and enjoy the Christmas spirit every time. We recommend you to visit both but on different days. Start with Santa Park. People often do not realize the Santa Park is an amazement also for adults.

If we go to Santapark, are there lots of attractions to do other than just seeing Santa?
VictoriaM1

There is a little train ride, a kid's play area, arts & crafts and a pretty good show. Even if you do all of those things and eat it will not take more than 2-3 hours.

Yes it is at a set time. It lasted about 30 minutes. They do it in both languages. You get your elf certificate on your way out.

Are there food options on site for lunch?
Do you have to pre book?

We were there in winter in peak time and no you didn't need to pre book. Finding a table to sit at was hard though. You could pay for a buffet style option or just order cafe style food.
