This is a wonderful activity and shouldn’t be missed.
The first thing to say is that the huskies and so well loved and cared for. The girls we met knew everyone of the 150+ huskies names. When these wonderful animals retire, they stay on the farm with their friends - they even go out for ‘geriatric’ sled pulling evenings (without customers)
We were well informed about huskies from their heritage to speed!
Every thing was seriously good fun from the beginning to the berry juice and gingerbread at the end of our our trek.
Well worth a trip. If you’re taking children would recommend the shorter adventure.
It’s cold, especially if the wind picks up and snow starts to fall but the feeling of swishing through the snow pulled by 6 dogs is amazing.

We book familly day, and we really enjoy it. All was good, contact before was great, we received all needed information before. Trip was fantastic, sledge rides, both with husky and reindeers. Woman who was telling us all about animals were knowledgable. Lunch was delicious, hot drings and fire to warm during the day. Really recomend to all👍🏼😉

We booked the Reindeer and Husky Combo day which I would totally recommend. It is the perfect activity to get a glimpse of both unique arctic experiences.
However, I must admit I missed a bit longer reindeer drawn sledge and a faster husky ride. Huskies are really eager to run and we had to stop constantly because we caught up with the sledge in front.
Raitola farm is an animal friendly environment with a really nice personnel. Someone was always looking out for us.

We booked this tour on the internet for 35 euros per person. The description of the tour is not what it is. No explanation of the reindeer nor the farm. The tour is very very overprised. You can do the reindeer sledge riding at Santa Claus village for 18 euros. Don't go for reindeer sledge to Raitola.

This place is the real deal. The staff LOVES what they do! Especially Katia. The husky rides are unforgettable, the longer one. The ride includes going through the woods, over a frozen lake and up an down some hills. The place is clean, well run and the staff is very informative. The warm juice and cookies at the end while the guides answer question was great!

What an experience! Driving a husky team was probably my favorite thing to do in Rovaniemi. It can be cold so take the warm clothing provided by Raitola, but it can also get hot when you’re on the trail. It was harder than I thought it would be with turning with the sled but also exhilarating. My only complaint is that the group was too large. We had 14 sleds in my group and we had to constantly brake and stop to wait for stragglers. I wish our group was smaller for more speed and less waiting time on the trail. We also had to split up because we had three people. One of us was in a sled with a crying kid in their lap. That part was not fun!! I would tell the company that if there is a parent, they need to stay with their own child. We didn’t speak the same language and the kid cried the whole time while the mom was driving.
I also wish the tour had included more time outside with the kennels, but the guides were so nice and answered all our questions. We wanted lots of petting time with the dogs too, but that part felt rushed. I also wish I knew my lead dog’s name to have more of a connection with her, but I am still overwhelmed with how amazing the experience was. Don’t leave Rovaniemi without visiting the husky Safari

We had an amazing time on a nighttime reindeer safari with Raitola. Our guide was Eetu, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The night was super cold and clear, and we were given blankets and warm suits, and taken out through the woods. The reindeer were hilarious, they had such fun personalities, and we could see every star in the sky. (Alas, no aurora even though it was totally clear, but you can't win 'em all!) After the tour we went into a warming hut with a fire to have cinnamon rolls and warm juice, and to learn more about reindeer. Then we had a chance to feed some of the moms and babies before our tour was over. Such a fantastic event... I don't know why more people don't do these reindeer safaris, it's the perfect way to relax after a busy day, and to learn more about the culture and animals!

We visited the farm using a tour from Rovaniemi. First we visited reindeer farm. There were some reindeer tied to a tree and we were able to feed them. After that we got on a reindeer-drawn carriage. Then we entered the hut to enjoy hot chocolate and cinnamon while listening to explanations about reindeer life. After that we walked 200m to the husky farm. We also rode a train pulled by several huskies. This experience is more interesting as the huskies run quite fast while the deer just walk slowly.

A TOTAL SCAM.
We booked and paid for the Husky and Reindeer Combo. It was very costly, (amounting to €1K for just 5 people). We were driving to Raitola and our GPS got mixed up and gave us a wrong turn. I phoned Raitola and advised them that we will be running some minutes late, and they said it's ok, no problem, they'd wait. We arrived at 10.37am instead of 10.30am. We waited several minutes outside in the cold, until an attendant came, and said that we were 15 minutes late, (even though we had already advised them, and they had said they'd wait). They said that we cannot go to the Husky ride (eventhough the activity had barely started). When asked for a refund, they said that such a thing is not possible. When asked if they could maybe put us with another group, they said "there was no space for us". They said that we can still do the reindeer ride and have lunch there. (Which btw we had paid alot of money for). The reindeer ride was exactly 6 minutes 50 seconds. A total scam and disgrace. The so-called lunch consisted of some cold salmon soup and some stale bread. And we were kicked out right after lunch, they didn't even let us take a photo with the huskies.
Rude and greedy staff, horrible experience. A total scam, totally do not recommend at all.

721€ for 5minutes ride -400meters !!!
It is not a farm — It’s a FACTORY
The staff is not even friendly… the 2 hours activity included the transport even if we came with our own car We spend 10min feeding 4 poor reindeer with other 50 peoples. We tried to enter the little house with fire but they pulled the door saying ITS FULL … ok so we waited 1/2h outside with 3 kids before we can enter a second one. Only one member was nice during the reindeer ride Save your money it is cheaper at SantaPark
