It's fun for kids to see 'where Santa lives', but that's it. You can take a picture with Santa (€35) sitting next to Santa with a plexiglass screen between you and Santa (thanks Covid).
The rest of Santas village is just a accumulation of souvenir shops and restaurants. Everything closes at 17:00 hours / 5 pm.

This place has probably been the victim of its own success. There are just too many people to have any "Christmas magic" left during the Christmas period. We went with a 7 year old who came out of the meeting with Santa with more doubts than she went in (basically said this is not the real Santa). The souvenir photo for 50 EUR seems a bit excessive as well given that it is not a pro quality. The Village is just a multitude of shops and hoards of tourists.

This is in Santa Claus Holiday Village ( which is next door to Santa Claus Village).
Santa was so kind-hearted and perfect.
Our adult disabled son is still a believer, and Santa took so much time with him, and asked him to come back the next day with a drawing if he wanted. Our son duly drew a picture that night and returned with it the next day. Santa remembered him, had another wonderful chat, and had his picture stuck to the wall.
This was the most perfect meeting for our son, and just as I would have wished for his first meeting with the real Santa.
Thank you so much.

Please keep attention that just at the entrance of the village there is this house called "Christmas House" which shows signs inviting the families to go in for meeting Santa Claus. Be careful, it is only a shop and not the original one. They have inside a fake Santa Claus who takes pictures with you just for sale them. We fell into the trap and it was really disappointing not only for us but also for our kid. They completely spoiled the surprise, the expectations and the dream of a child.
Only then we realize that Santa's office was 200 meters away.
But our girl is 9 years old and we couldn't find a plausible excuse to get into the original one.
So we spent thousands of euros and crossed half of Europe to be scammed like that.
It is incredible that the village of Santa Claus allows such a situation.
Better to leave Santa and his village in the magical imagination of our children!

This activity is every child’s dream come true!! Every child who believes in Santa MUST do this activity before they grow up and the magic fades away. I would highly recommend obtaining a VIP pass, again our Tour guide sorted this out for us and our children were escorted by an Elf who showed them how Santa’s factory worked, how the letters are received, how the gifts are prepared and delivered, and they got 20 minutes with Santa all on their own! Chatting about life and clarifying all their curiosities.
You can explore Elf school and other elf activities after this, so I’d recommend blocking the day off. There’s nothing like being within your own fairytale and this activity provides that opportunity. Don’t miss it! thereafter you get a chance to go toe Santa’s post office and send a letter to anyone in the world! From Santa’s homeland nonetheless!
Experience 5/5

Super commercial , worst than Disney Land! Every is very VERY expensive for cheap stuff made in China. We found much better activities to do around . We went Ranua it was fantastic , we ice fishing, husky tour, snow mobile in the wild for very reasonable price . They also have a great zoo with polar bears. Honestly Santa village was the biggest mistake of our trip! All activities are crap and you feel like you are locked up in cage. Hope this review will be helpful and you won’t spend your money there

We were guest at the Santa Claus Holiday Village and enjoyed visiting Santa for free here at the Christmas House. As guest of the Holiday Village, we got a 10% discount inside of the Christmas House. We went on a Friday at about 09:44 and had no wait. There’s a little room to walk through that our kids enjoyed and then meet Santa. Santa was very friendly and did well with our 1 and 4 year old. He gave them both a few stickers which made them happy. We paid for the package and got 2 pictures, 2 certificates, and 3 postcards for €40. We forgot about asking if the 10% discount applies for the pictures, but we did remember to ask when we bought souvenirs inside the shop.
Overall we enjoyed our time and would recommend the visit.

The first thing I did when I start studying in Santa´s Hometown Rovaniemi (Finland) – I visited the one and only Santa in his Santa Claus´ Village! Amazing! But not just that I sat on Santa´s lap! I found such a charming place there christmas feelings flare up even if it is in the middle of July.
While searching after an innovative Souvenir in the Chrismas House I noticed this Christmas Exhibition. First I didn´t want to go inside, because it seemed not that big and 5€ was from my point of view a bit expensive (student account is missing). However, I was in the right mood and wanted to get to know more about Christmas, so I decided to see it. Right decision! Okay, the surface is maybe rather limited, but it contains extensive informations about Finnish and International Christmas traditions as well as Christmas toys. Everything was represented throughout different sceneries – an interesting and pictorial way to communicate facts around Christmas. I liked the short films that were shown in the background of these sceneries. Even if some screens worked a bit badly, but they made it more lively. The figures of the permanent Christmas exhibition could have looked a bit more natural and friendly.
And at the end? Big surprise! Interactive, funny, amazing!!! A wooden made globe that can be moved – forget time and space and betake yourself on a trip of a special kind! Charming short-films were shown if you succeed to bring a red Christmas tree ball into a little rectangle. Oooh, I became a child again and spend at least half an hour :)

Although you find similar Christmas venue in your home country, it's never like experience the whole shabang: the icy cold outside and the warmth of the interior, the wooden market kiosks, Mrs Claus knitting corner, the elves, EVERYTHING.
