    Interesting farm
We spent a couple of hours there and it was nice. Animals seemed well treated and happy. There's even some for the children and a small shop inside where you can buy sausages and marshmallows to cook over a campfire. Nice!

    Walk with the reindeer.
I booked this attraction before arriving in Finland and was very pleased. As far as I am concerned, the "Walk with the Reindeer" event was my favorite experience at Santa's Village. The two young ladies who were my escorts with Valko - the reindeer, were friendly, approachable, and had a great sense of humor. A wonderful experience all around. I took the 15-minute walk and was glad I did. It was cold. Tips: but the moss to feed the reindeer.

    Great experience
We did a hiking with alpacas activity in the beginning of November, and it was a fun experience! We arrived at the farm and met Inka, our guide for the activity. She then took us to meet Pena and Eevertti, the 2 cute alpacas who accompanied us in the hike. The hike was through the forest behind the farm, and the landscape was beautiful, with tall trees covered by snow, as well as some smaller pine trees and bushes at which the alpacas were stopping to have a snack :D. Along the way, Inka told us a couple of things about alpacas, and she helped us taking some great pictures with the alpacas with our phone. After the hike, we spent a couple of hours at the farm, where you can see some other animals, like goats (which you can brush and pet), reindeers which you can feed (it costs 5 euros for a bag of twigs), a pony, etc. Also they have a couple of kotas in which the fire is burning, so you can buy some hot drink and drink it in the kota to get warm. There was also a place for kids with swings and stuff, and also a small icy slope to slide down on with a mattress. Overall it was a fun activity, and given the fact that you can also visit the farm afterwards, it’s something really worth doing.

Take a Reindeer for a walk! Feed them, toast some marshmallows. Children enjoyed, some little slides for them and a nice fire to warm yourself on.

This is a great way to see Arctic animals, they all seemed very calm and appeared to be well looked after. Our daughters really enjoyed feeding the reindeer. At the farm ticket desk we purchased some marshmallows and toasted them over an open camp fire, this was the best bit for all of us - it was such an amazing atmosphere. I believe you can buy sausages as well.

The idea of feeding reindeer is one that will appeal to both adults and kids alike, but for a family of 4 to be charge 50 euros to get in to this place is beyond the normal excessive prices of Rovaniemi. On top of this you can pay another 5 euro for the feed that the reindeer dont eat!
After the non eating reindeer you can see some chicken, these are not special artic version chickens, but the normal ones you can see anywhere else. They fit in nicely with the non artic goats, sheep, pony and donkeys.
I cannot stress enough how much the « Elf Farm Yard » should be avoided, save your money, and find a reindeer somewhere else.
Disappointed!!

Our personal highlight in the village and a good way for families (especially those with small children) to escape the crowds, tourist buses and souvenir shops.
The entrance fee is relatively expensive for what’s being offered, but everything is expensive in Lapland…

We enjoyed our visit to Elf’s Farmyard, the main attraction was feeding the reindeer which was an extra €5 on top of €15 each to enter, I’m not sure it would be worth going if you didn’t feed the reindeer as it’s quite a small farm and most animals are understandably hiding inside due to the snow and cold in the winter! However overall it was a nice experience.

We did a private tour of Elf's Farm Yard at the weekend and it was magical! My two children (aged 5 and 10) loved it and said it was one of their favourite places they'd ever been to. It's not large so you get to see all the animals, who were all happy and well cared for. On our tour we fed the goats, rabbits, alpacas and reindeer. Our highlight was walking through the beautiful frozen forest in the still of the morning with the gorgeous reindeer and alpacas, which is something we'll never forget! The kids loved warming up in the traditional tent, toasting marshmallows over an open fire, with hot chocolate. The elf staff here are so friendly and we didn't feel rushed at all, they really looked after us. The kids loved the sledging hills in the farm too! Thank you to our wonderful guides, you were so patient and kind, and we absolutely loved it!

Of all the things I got to see and do while in Rovaniemi, visiting the farmyard was probably among my favourites, especially getting to go for a walk in the nearby woods with one of the reindeers. While on the walk, I was with one of the ladies who worked at the farmyard and I found her to be both friendly and courteous and also very knowledgeable about the animals.
