Best Husky Mushing Experience ever. The booking and journey experience was amazing, The driver picked up on time and was very friendly and informative. The instructions from the staff was great. It was 8km of amazing views and experience we ever had. This is the only place to go in Rovaniemi for Husky Mushing.. I would recommend it to everyone.

We recently had the opportunity to participate in a Husky Safari and Snowmobile Experience from Parpalandia organized in the breathtaking Lapland region of Finland, and it was truly an unforgettable adventure.

The Husky Safari was an absolute highlight of the trip. The excitement of being pulled through the snowy landscape by a team of energetic and friendly huskies was an experience like no other. The dogs were well-trained and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. The feeling of gliding through the pristine winter scenery, surrounded by the peacefulness of nature, was simply magical.

The guides were knowledgeable and passionate about their work, and they provided us with all the necessary instructions and safety precautions before we embarked on our journey.

After the Husky Safari, we had the chance to try our hand at snowmobiling. This was an exhilarating and thrilling experience, as we zoomed through the snowy trails and forests. The snowmobiles were easy to operate, and the guides ensured that we felt comfortable and safe throughout the ride. The scenery was absolutely stunning, with snow-covered trees and vast open spaces stretching as far as the eye could see.

The combination of the Husky Safari and Snowmobile Experience allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of Lapland. It was an adventure that satisfied both our desire for adrenaline and our longing to connect with nature.

The overall organization of the experience was top-notch. The equipment provided was in excellent condition, and the guides were professional and friendly. They were always available to answer questions and make sure that everyone was having a great time.

We were 2 couples looking for an experience away from the big groups often witnessed in town. Following a phone call and a nice chat with Kati explaining what we had in mind, we made our booking for a 2 hour private Snow Mobile Safari and an hours small group husky driving. The weather conditions were not favourable on our chosen day and on the day before I got a call to say our activities were cancelled☹️Quite simply it was not safe for customers, dogs or snow mobiles as it was + 3c and raining which we were told was most unusual for this time of year. The temps dropped and there was a dusting of snow which prompted a call from Kati the day before we were flying home. She offered us the chance to do our activities on the day we were flying home, with a late flight we took up the offer😁 The drive from town took around an hour and was easy to find, heading south towards Kemi on the 75, turn right at the sign for “Pisa” and after about 9km look for the sign “Parpalandia”. Both experiences delivered what we had hoped for and in between we were offered hot juice, Finnish sausages and cookies by the fire in the “Kota” which was a lovely touch. We got to meet the owner “Ismo” who was quite a character and showed us around the accommodation he has there. Thanks to our guide who’s name was something like Thermo and also Nora who was happy to answer our many question's about the lovely dogs.

Great experience. I struggled to find a small company whom I could book a solo experience with. These guys were great, I shared the sled with the husky owner - we drove half of the tour each but even sitting in the sled with someone who knew what they were doing was fun! They also provided pick up which was great. We travelled through the woods - the huskies knew the way!

Truly amazing experience, managed to see aurora on first try! Our guide was professional and nice, and we went to a cozy secluded site 50 km-s from the city where we could watch for aurora undisturbed by others in place. In case we got cold we had a chance to get extra clothing or sit by the fire in a hut while enjoying hot tea and barbecue sausage.

Went with my son in early December. It's a little bit away from Rovaniemi (45 mins)but the pay off once you get there and see how you are situated in the wilderness really makes it worth it. We got changed into more appropriate boots as we had our own insulated jackets/trousers but there is tonnes of clothing there should you need it. First off we met the dogs and some of the team members who were all very friendly and useful in explaining everything. The dogs seem very well looked after, happy and crazy eager to be going out on another ride. Not to spoil it but that husky sled ride is one of the best things I've done anywhere on any holiday I've ever been on. We had a small break then with some hot punch/cordial before Ismo (the owner) took us out on the snowmobiles. Again another fantastic experience and my son got to have a turn driving at one point. It really is serene and peaceful out there and obviously the owner knows the huge estate like the back of his hand which is good as every track can end up looking the same as some point. We returned to main buildings after about 3 hours of total husky/snowmobiling activity. The owner then served us some salmon soup which was delcious and after a tour of one of his lodges ended up dropping us back to Rovaniemi.
2 important things.
Yes it's not the cheapest or most easily located husky ride in or near Rovaniemi but the experience, lack of big crowds, the location and the friendliness of staff/owner make it absolutely worth it. In fact if I'd paid a good bit more I still would not have been disappointed.
Secondly book directly through parapalandia web site NOT through a third party as all the revenue goes to the upkeep of the estate, the dogs, employees etc rather giving away a portion to a middle man. One of the best things I've ever done, a bucket list item but something I'd hope to do again if I get the chance.

On Monday morning me and my girlfriend we visited the husky farm and we did a sledding experience with the dogs. We met Erika and Nora, 2 amazing girls who work at the farm and look after the dogs. It was incredible how to see how much love and passion they put into their job. They taught us so many things about huskies, how they take care of them, and how to build a strong relationship with the dog. We really recommend anyone coming to Rovaniemi to visit their farm and do a tour with them, it was pure joy for us to immerse ourselves in their world, and we think Nora and Erica were the best people to meet because of their passion.

Thanks one more time for the incredible experience.

Definitely one of my top travel experiences! This is not an activity I would recommend for people with a negative attitude, unless you’re sitting in the sled, but even then you should be prepared for possible bumps and spills. I have chronic asthma but drove my team the entire trip, no problem. My 10yo daughter was in the sled (children are not allowed to drive the team and for good reason.) Our sled went off the path and tipped over in the first 300 meters but we laughed, dusted ourselves off and started again. The dogs seemed to really love the experience and I liked that I was able to make it easier for them by jumping off the sled and running (hands still on the sled) whenever we had short uphill runs. (I am nearly 50 but this was completely doable). The scenery is beautiful and we were closely watched by the staff on the snowmobiles. The driver of the team behind me came off her sled so the staff told us to stop, which I did. The dogs with the driverless sled ran to mine; with a man still in their sled (you cannot control the dogs from inside the sled). I did not see it happen (I only knew the staff member was asking us to stop) and the heavy sled slammed into the back of my legs. It hurt but I think I got more of a fright. I was able to keep going and was glad I did. It was so much fun!! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it too and it was most certainly the highlight of our Rovaniemi trip! The dogs were very friendly and enjoyed hugs, scratches and belly rubs from us after our journey. They all seem well fed, looked after and happy! We had sausages afterward and the most delicious, hot blueberry tea to warm us. Tips - cover your face snd wear the goggles, and take hot packs for your kids (I did and my daughter was fine though there was another young girl who was crying as she was so cold). This was a once-in-lifetime experience for us and I’m so glad we chose a self-driving tour instead of one of the more touristy staff-driven sled tours. I highly recommend this adventure!!

Excellent experience which was the highlight of our trip to lapland. About an hours drive from rovaniemi. On arrival we changed into the supplied overalls, gloves and boots, got.a chance to see the huskies before setting off. After a quick lesson on how to steer we took off on an hour ride through spectacular surroundings. Stopped off half way to change drivers but my wife did not feel strong enough to do so. You do need a decent level.of strength and fitness to steer as your aerating a foot brake and kick starting uphill. After we had opportunity to pet the dogs and had a Reindeer sausage and warm Berry juice around a fire before being taken back to our hotel. Excellent staff and transfer, would highly recommend

I arranged a husky sledding - mushing activity for me and my family.

The day before in the afternoon they contacted me to explain that they changed the sled for a cart due to low snow levels, which I can understand if this is due to safety reasons (despite the fact rest of small kennels and operators in the area were proving sled activity on the same day) . Even if the activity is cheaper Than the one in sled (comparing both activities in the website) they didn’t offer any compensation

Since we didn’t have much alternative due to the short notice to change supplier we did the activity.

We did a 2-3 km ride, we were told that we couldn’t touch the “locks” of the breaks and that their team would take care of it due to safety reasons. we could only touch brake if needed and drive. the wheels of my cart turned out to be blocked but they didn’t realize until almost the end. They forgot to unlock one little part on the break. This resulted in the dogs stopping all the time and me and my partner pushing the kart through the snow instead of enjoying the ride.

When I told them in the Kota, answer was that oh yes sometimes this happens..not even an apology.

The location was great, the dogs were lovely and the young girl providing the instructions was really nice but the experience we “enjoyed” was far from what they promise.
