We did the ultimate lappish adventure: a guided tour through ranua wildlife park, followed by ice floating in a private lake, sauna + ice swimming and dinner. Highly recommend this activity as it combines so many wonderful things about lapland. Especially the sauna is unmissable when visiting the area, and this private sauna by a lake was a great way to experience it. Our guide knew a lot about lappish nature and tanja and alex were wonderful hosts.

It was really amazing tour. Alex and Tanya were very friendly with us, they get a especial experience. Tour consist in a really hot sauna that tou learn how to use to modulate the heat, when you are ready you must go out to play with snow, take photos or, if you are a hero like us, take a bath in an almost frozen lake. After that they bring us a really amazing dinner in a typical cottage. They offer this activity for small groups, we where 4 people. That offers the possibility to interact with lappish wildness which is amazing. Thank you very much and we hope see you soon.

This is a very mixed review. I booked the 3 night northern lights hunt with this company. If I was going to review the first night, I would give them, and our guide Alex, a 5 out of 5. We had a wonderful experience. Alex took great care of our group- he took pictures for us, helped us with our cameras to take some for ourselves, and made sure everyone had what they needed. The next night, however, wasn’t good at all. We went to the same location as the night before, which would have been fine however it was very crowded and not an intimate experience as it was the night before. We had a different guide this time too, who didn’t seem nearly as knowledgeable on the lights or as personable as our previous guide. It was a cloudy night where we were too and we never changed locations to try and find a better spot (which some other companies do). Additionally, as soon as it started to clear up our guide abruptly announced it was time to go and started to make the trek back to the van- before one of the other guests had their camera packed up and was ready to leave. I think if you can request a guide, ask for Alex. Also I wouldn’t recommend doing the 3 night hunt because we went to the same location and it didn’t seem like this company actually hunts for the lights - they just took us to the same location. We ended up canceling our third night and went with another company.

Amazing experience. The zoo trip was really nice. The snowy landscape was breathtaking and we were able to watch a bunch of nordic fauna including wolves, owls, moose, wolverines and a polar bear. The lunch was ok. The second part of the trip was truly marvelous (and a must do!). We were brought to a private property with noone in sight for 3 km. The combination of the hot traditional Finnish sauna, which can get up to 100°, with the freezing cold of the snow and frozen lake, in which you can swim, was exceptional. To top it all of, an amazing cozy dinner of smoked salmon and other Finnish delicacies prepared by Alex and Tania who were extremely caring and chill hosts. Totally recommend.

It was once in a lifetime experience of diving into a icy cold lake and experiencing the traditional Finnish Sauna. Alex and his wife Tanja were amazing hosts and great at conversations. Really was a worth the time and would recommend it to everyone who wants to experience Finnish Sauna and more...
