Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a fantastic time with Jarkko our guide. He was such a lovely host and helped us have an amazing day. There were so many activities to chose from, our children enjoyed ice fishing, sausages and hot chocolate in the Kota, mini skidoos, snow shoeing and so much more. We made some many good memories on this day and thoroughly recommend it.

Really great birthday day out for our 6 year old and a rural frozen lake outside Rovaniemi. We were picked up outside our city accommodation and driven to the resort where we enjoyed making snowmen, skidoos, snowshoeing, lassoing, ice fishing, the sledge carousel etc. Also had lovely hot chocolate and sausages by an open fire. Thoroughly enjoyable day!

We did the Traditional Lappish Evening. And it was exactly what the title says. What can i say about this experience...words are not enough.
We booked the activity on 6.2.2020 me and my girlfriend and we were the only ones that night. Our guides were Juho and Minttu (boy and girl). They were the kindest Fins we met during our trip to lapland. Juho was also very funny and talkative which made the evening even better.
They picked us up from our hotel and we drove to a lake house in the middle of the forest in a very beautiful location. They opened a fire inside a traditional lappish tent where they cooked for us some snacks and sausages and hot chocolate while we were waiting for the YURT sauna to heat up. Afte we ate our snacks thay gave us some "shoes" that you can walk more easily in the snow and we went to the lake were you are supposed to dive in the cold water.
When the sauna was ready they took us to it and they provided with towels and instructions on how to operate the sauna. Everything was so organized and clean. We enjoyed the sauna very much. This traditional outdoors sauna is way better than the ones at your local gym, trust me. While we were sweating like pigs inside the sauna :P our guides were preparing the equipment in the frozen lake because i was going to attempt to dive. And i totaly did it (even though i could only last for 5 seconds). They also filmed the whole process with our camera.
After i finished my girlfriend also decided to do the frozen lake dive and i wanted to try it again (that is how much i enjoyed it). Even though they had already removed the equipment from the lake they were once again very kind and agreed to set it up again for us.
After the sauna and the lake thay cooked for us a delicious dinner with salmon, a traditional baked potato mash with a lappish sauce, a traditional lappish salad and some other stuff. Everything was perfect and so yummy that i could not stop eating (i filled up my plate twice). Also we want the receipe please :P
But the best part of the evening came at the end. 10 minutes before we were leaving the Northern lights appeared in the sky. It was the most magical thing i have seen with my eyes. The lights were so bright that night and due to the location of the cabin (away from the city) they were even brighter. We were extremely lucky that we booked our activity that night and as Juho told us they were the brighter lights he had seen all year. The guys were once again very kind to us that they stayed overtime (even though our activity time had finished) so that we could all enjoy the northern lights as much as we could and take many many photos.
To sum up, if you want to experience something unique and traditional this is definitely the activity you should book, no doubt. Even if you are not lucky enough as we were to see the lights everything else is going to be perfect, the snacks, the sauna, the frozen lake, the delicious dinner and most of all you will have a great time with very good company that are definitely going to make you feel special.

We went off with our guide Juho in a mini van about 25min away from Santa Clause Village to the local lake. There we went on a mini sleigh drive from the road to the kota’s. We were shown how to start up a traditional Finnish wood burning sauna & got the water from the lake. We also started the fire for our sausages (snack) & salmon (dinner). My daughter has a salmon allergy & they were happy to accommodate & prepared chicken for her. After our warm berry juice & sausages the sauna was hot enough & time for us to work up a good sweat before having a traditional dip in the icy lake. The dip wasn’t as bad as I thought. The idea in your head is worse. It’s actually very refreshing & you actually feel NO cold after the dip. I actually stood outside in the snow at night in my swim suit feeling no unease. We jumped back into the sauna & afterwards completed our adventure with deliciously cooked salmon (& chicken) by Juho. Juho was amazing. He answered all our curious questions & was an incredible guide with so much knowledge of the outdoors. A real pleasure.

This tour was really great. Eija was always willing to answer our questions, explaining the ferns on the trees. She prepared all the necessary equipment for us. We had an amazing experience. We also had the occasion to taste delicious local sausages, hot coffee, and handmade cookies. The tour was one of the highlights of our stay in Finland.

This activity was really great. Jarkko was always willing to answer our questions, the games were a lot of fun: the children tried the mini-skidoos, the snow carousel, ice-fishing, sleds and had an amazing experience. We also had the occasion to taste delicous local sausages, hot chocolate, tea, coffee and traditional biscuits in an amazing setting. This activity was the highlight of our stay in Lapland.

Juho was our guide on this memorable hike to the ice falls. He was professional and witty with a great sense of humour. Our morning started with some hiccups when we had problems linking up as we weren't staying at a hotel and Juho was driving a private car.(I was looking out for a company bus/van). We were also not geared in the right shoes as we were expecting operators to provide them which Santa's Adventures unfortunately don't. On hindsight it should have been better communicated from both parties before the tour. Nevertheless we pressed on and had a whale of a time despite some slipping and sliding. It's hard not to enjoy yourself in this beautiful country. Juho was an exemplary guide with a wealth of knowledge. He even gave us an introduction to Finnish history and metal music. Top man. I will difinitely sign up more tours with them if I get the chance.

Our visit to Korouoma National Park was the best part of our holiday in Rovaniemi. We learnt so much from our guide, Juho who shared so many interesting facts about the Park and winter in Lapland. A shout out too to Sebastian, who impressed my son with his cooking! Will definitely sign up with Santa's Adventures the next time we come back to Rovaniemi. Thanks for great memories!

Jarkko is very profesional, we had very good communication previous and after booking. We met at the agreed time and place, he provided a car seat for our kid and let us chose the place where to go to see the Aurora. We were lucky and it was in the sky when arrived there. He took our pictures, offer us hot chocolate/tea and cookies and brought us back to our accommodation. We are very satisfied and we would high recommend this tour.

I visited Rovaniemi a couple of days out of desperation to see the Northern Lights. I decided to book Santa's Adventure which was incredibly amazing!

Jarkko was very accommodating and assisted you all the way. He even brought us to another place in order to have more possibilities to see the Northern Lights - and we successfully saw it!

I would advise to book your tickets online or contact if you are alone. You may join other groups as what I did.

Photos are all truly beautiful!

For more information, please email or contact them through:
