Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was well worth it though, and the service was excellent in every way. Would go again if in the area.

We had a rental car, so instead of booking a reindeer tour, we booked a 3 km reindeer tour through their own websites. Saved us a lot of money. The farm is roughly 7 km outside Rovaniemi and easy to find. Escpecially with the GPS coordinates you are given in the confirmation email.
You are greeted and have the opportunity to feed the reindeer some moss. Afterwards, you get into your sled (pulled by one reindeer) and take a 3 km trip through the forest. Very peacful and beautiful.
Afterwards you're offered some cookies and a hot drink. The kids can sled off a hill outside before returning home.

We came to the farm with Nordic Adventures. We met Marie, the extremely kind owner, passionate about her job. We were able to take a sleigh ride in the middle of the snowy forest, then we went to see the reindeer and feed them to approach them from meadows. Marie answered all our questions over a hot drink and cookies. We spent 1h30 at the farm. We were very lucky because there were only 3 of us due to the sanitary situation. Go and visit this superb authentic farm. Merci and Merry Christmas!

Off the beaten path and far less touristy than similar places at or closer to the Santa Claus' Village, and definitely worth your time and money!
The guide was funny and an obviously authentic Laplander, the farm was beatiful and tranquil, and the tour was as informative as it was unforgettable. We got to feed and pet reindeers as well as take them a on brief sled-ride entirely without guides (the reindeer are "automatic", as the guide put it).
Our visit and tour lasted for a full hour, and at 35 euros per person the price was very reasonable for the experience. Definitely one of the best short activities you can do at the Arctic Circle!

Well I never in my life dreamed I would be visiting a Reindeer farm where I would be feeding and petting them and then turning around and having them at a traditional dinner. The guide joked that it was the neighbor's meat but it was something for me to work with the idea of it. We had a fun photo taken with a reindeer, and then we were let into the pen with them where we could feed them and pet them. We had been jumping at the chance to photograph reindeer on our entire tour through Scandinavia as we would pass them on the bus only to have them right in front of us. What a terrific experience and in an environment that was very inviting. We had a traditional ceremony where I don't know what kinds of spirits the guy worked out and then marked us with charcoal on our heads before we headed in for dinner. It was a great and entertaining yarn he spun and added to the mystery of the culture. We visited in June so we did not have snow but I imagine it is covered in the winter time.

We enjoyed our visit with a large group. The facilities for eating and keeping warm are good, as are the bathrooms! The reindeer are more docile than I expected and it was fun to feed them lichen. The sleigh ride is short and relatively sedate, but you should do it as how often to people outside the area to get ride a reindeer sleigh?!

Authentic, long running family reindeer farm. We got to meet and feed the reindeer (they are even cuter than they look in pictures, and some of their antlers are mighty impressive) before embarking on the "reindeer safari," which was a quiet ride through the snow covered countryside in a one-reindeer open sleigh. Each sleigh seats two passengers.
Kids and adults agreed this was a magical experience, *definitely* the standout highlight of our four-day trip to Rovaniemi.
After our sleigh ride, we went indoors for coffee and ginger snaps. One of the farm's owners answered everyone's questions about reindeer. The herd only winters at the farm; they spend their summer roaming wild in Lapland.
I booked directly with the farm, about a week ahead. Everyone speaks Finnish and English. Super easy to deal with, hospitable, knowledgeable.
If you're going to Rovaniemi, do not miss this place!

This is a proper authentic reindeer experience. Amazing!
We found this tour on Google when we saw how awful the "reindeer experience" was at Santa Claus Village.
We were greeted and welcomed into the cabin with the fire burning and waited for the rest of the group to arrive. Our guide then took us on a short walk down to meet the reindeers and gave us some handfuls of food to feed to them. We took loads of photos and were then guided to a personal 2-person ride on a sleigh through the snowy forest powered by a reindeer. After all that we went back to the cabin for tea and coffee and biscuits and had a little Q&A with our guide.
Hands down one of the best experiences ever, the place was caked in snow, and just standing around was beautiful. Overall from arrival to departure it was just over 1hr.
It was €29.50 pee adult and well worth it considering it was €18 at Santa Claus Village to queue up for 30m to have 5mins being dragged around by some sad looking reindeers and ushered out straight after.
Here we could feed them, pet them, take photos, "drive" the reindeers ourselves, ask some questions and all from an authentic reindeer farm family who know how to treat and care for them.
Could not recommend it enough!

We visited the farm in November so it was not very crowded and we had a great experience. We were allowed to feed and pet the reindeers and got very interesting information. Additionally we could ask everything we wanted to know. Our guide was extremely welcoming. We also got tea, coffee and typical biscuits from Lapland in a gut with a cozy fireplace. We were also allowed to go back to the deers to take some more pictures. All in all it was one of the best things I did in Rovaniemi and it was worth the money. I can totally recommend it :)

This was one of our highlights in Lapland - Janne was incredibly friendly and welcoming and gave us so much info about the reindeer, as well as Sami traditions and buildings. There was no snow so we did not book a sleigh ride, just the farm visit (17 euro per person) but it was definitely worth it! We got to meet and feed the beautiful reindeer, they are so gentle and soft!! Finished up with a hot drink and delicious Finnish cookies.
Would love to come back in winter one day!!
