Nice stop to see and interact with reindeers, as every other venue was closed when we were in Rovaniemi. It is located behind Santa Klaus' village, it costs 5€, if I remember well, and they give you a birch branch to feed the reindeers. Very nice for kids, good for everyone.

We were part of a tour group and we arrived at the farm by boat on a scenic river journey from Rovaniemi. There was a quite lengthy boarded walkway from the river to the farm, which required a little care as it was quite narrow and could be slippery in places. On arrival at the farm we received a very welcoming and entertaining introduction (including myths and legends), to the farm operations. We then met the reindeer who were in a large paddock area, and were obviously used to human interaction. After a very interesting visit, we made our way back to the river for our return boat trip.

Off the beaten path and far less touristy than similar places at or closer to the Santa Claus' Village, and definitely worth your time and money!

The guide was funny and an obviously authentic Laplander, the farm was beatiful and tranquil, and the tour was as informative as it was unforgettable. We got to feed and pet reindeers as well as take them a on brief sled-ride entirely without guides (the reindeer are "automatic", as the guide put it).

Our visit and tour lasted for a full hour, and at 35 euros per person the price was very reasonable for the experience. Definitely one of the best short activities you can do at the Arctic Circle!

The pros : nice location inside the Finnish forest
The cons : poor signage. After parking on the main road, we had to guess how to get to the actual farm by following other groups. When arriving on site and close to the reindeer, I was first mistaken for being the leader of the group. Once I clarified that I was a “walk-in” trying my luck to visit the farm, I was rudely turned down, explained that I shouldn’t touch the reindeer, and that I had no right to be in that location without a booking. Staff added that no booking was available for several weeks anyways.

We had a rental car, so instead of booking a reindeer tour, we booked a 3 km reindeer tour through their own websites. Saved us a lot of money. The farm is roughly 7 km outside Rovaniemi and easy to find. Escpecially with the GPS coordinates you are given in the confirmation email.

You are greeted and have the opportunity to feed the reindeer some moss. Afterwards, you get into your sled (pulled by one reindeer) and take a 3 km trip through the forest. Very peacful and beautiful.

Afterwards you're offered some cookies and a hot drink. The kids can sled off a hill outside before returning home.

Absolutely perfect place to see and feel the traditional way of life in Lapland. The Farm is about 7km to the North of Rovaniemi or 10 minutes to go. The people of the farm waiting for us and they are very polite and kind. Mari and Jukka tell us a lot about reindeers in Lapland, the way of life through the years, and the ancient history of the place. The Samanic ceremony also was something mysterious and totally unbelievable. The people in the farm they don't see the tourism as a job, they do what they do from their heart.
This place is a TOTALLY RECOMMENDED when you visit the Rovaniemi area. We book an appointment from their website

This was by far our most authentic and enjoyable activity during our time in Rovaniemi. The farm is located in a great location, is set beautifully, and the staff are friendly and informative. Due to time constraints we were only able to do their short morning run but it was surprisingly fun (and the reindeer went fast!). It all seemed very genuine and we are so glad we did it. Booked directly on their website and took Uber there and back from town. Sadly Uber is a bit pricey, but we had no problems getting our rides. A really great activity.

We came to the farm with Nordic Adventures. We met Marie, the extremely kind owner, passionate about her job. We were able to take a sleigh ride in the middle of the snowy forest, then we went to see the reindeer and feed them to approach them from meadows. Marie answered all our questions over a hot drink and cookies. We spent 1h30 at the farm. We were very lucky because there were only 3 of us due to the sanitary situation. Go and visit this superb authentic farm. Merci and Merry Christmas!

Very nice place to discover reindeer and understand their breeding and their presence in Lapland. We were able to take a sleigh ride for 3-4 km in the middle of beautiful wooded landscapes, and then feed the reindeer. Beautiful traditional wooden buildings in the park. Good explanations about reindeer by the staff. We recommend this activity even if the rates are a little high.

It was a fantastic experience compared to other reindeer sleigh that I had tried. At least it’s not a human being taking the lead, it’s a reindeer! For short distance about 200m, the reindeers are all very familiar with the route and they will just follow and bring you back to the original location. Of course you can choose a longer ride where a guide sleigh will pull you out to the frozen river. Everyone in the farm is so friendly and warm. My family and I enjoyed the trip to this farm. Definitely will recommended.
