Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the city centre from the Santa Claus Village to pick up some winter clothes that we were renting, so we decided to spend the morning in Rovaniemi. There really isn't much to do here but visit the Arkitrum museum and take in the views of the Lumberjack Candle Bridge. Is it good? Sure. It's an impressive bridge, and it's worth a photo. I'm not sure what else to tell you about it.

We went to this bridge to celebrate new year as recommended by someone we met in the city. First we walk across the bridge to the other side of the river. Then we walk back to find a good position on the bridge to see the fireworks. Many people standing along the bridge. The fireworks was clearly visible from here.

Walked over this bridge dozens of times through the snow and enjoyed looking at it from different angles. Interesting design based on two chopped down trees. Traditionally woodcutters would work in winter, in long dark nights. They would lean a couple of felled trees together, cut a hole in top, pour oil and light them like candles to see. So the story goes. The bright lights on the bridge look just like this. When you know the story the bridge becomes more than just another bridge.

Meaning I would recommend looking at it from afar, no need to actually get on it unless you are headed that way anyway.

Amazing view with the freezing river background. A must vist place in Lapland. In winter the river is frozen and we can see many winter activities around. there is a walkway and a small park along with the river where we can take good photos and spend some time.

This impressive bridge crossing the Kemijoki river was built in 1989. It is Finland’s first cable-stayed bridge, finished in 1989. It has a tension span of 126 meters.

In addition to its importance for traffic, the bridge bears a memory from the times of timber floating and is an homage to the lumberjack.

On the top of two columns are two red lights resembling the lumberjack’s candle, a log cut in two with a fire in between.

In the summer is not a special nordic view. But is nice to cross it for a walk, to watch the water and boats. Definitely is so big that you cannot miss it.

Passed by in the winter during sunset on the way from santa village to the town (8km walk) and stopped shortly at this bridge to take photos. Nice place for photography and the view is wide.
This is also the way to pass when going for shorter walks like the Winter Trail.

This is good in winter as then you get a good view over all the frozen ice on the river. There is a nice walkway along the river front that is probably better as then you can see the ice and the bridge

Nice bridge in an nice environment. I‘ve been there in deep winter, so the river was frozen and you were able to take pictures from the middle of the river.
I like it the most during night time.
