Magical place
Dec 2017
This is a beautiful place year round in Pokka Lapland. If you go here, you should also stop at the Pokka town which is only a gas station / bar but they have really good lonkero there!

Sami sacret site at Taatsi lake (Taatsin seita)
Jul 2015 • Friends
Taatsin seita on yksi kauneimmista ja vaikuttavimmista Lapin seidoista. Se sijaitsee Kitisen latvoilla Kittilän kunnan lounaisosassa, suurin piirtein Kittilän ja Inarin puolivälissä, Pokan kylästä 11 km luoteeseen (käännös on heti Pokan kylän kahvilan takaa vasemmalle). Taatsin seita on luonnon muovaama, kymmenisen metriä korkea kivipatsas Taatsinjärven rantatörmällä. - Tietä ei aurata talvella, joten toimii silloin vain moottorikelkalla. -
Taatsi seita at Taatsi lake is an ancient Sami culture religious site where the local Sami people offered to the gods. This god-creature (seita) is a great rock structure rising from a lake. The lake is situated in Pokka village about 109km from Levi (the turn is directly off Pokka village cafe to the left). The seita is a naturally formed site, about 10m high. - NB. The road is not plowed during the winter so if there's snow, you'll have access to the site on a snowmobile. -
