When we planned our Lapland trip this was our granddaughter's choice for an excursion and it didn't disappoint. A five klick ride throught the forest and over a lake whilst snowing ( I would recommend goggles if it does snow) magical! And you can drive if you like. All topped off with being able to cuddle the puppies ( yes that is a grown up saying this !)

It wasn't something that was high on the list of my things to do but when it was recommended to us we thought we would give it a go . We all loved it , it was great fun and exhilarating whilst being informative at the same time - Great guides Great location And of course Great Dogs :)

A must visit - Fun for all the family

A fantastic experience to try in lapland you get to ride the husky sledge through the woods in the dark , a little pricey but a once in a lifetime experience.

Lovely guides, lovely dogs

My friend and I visited the kennel to mush about a year and a half ago and had a great time. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we were able to mush for a good amount of time. I do recommend wearing your proper arctic gear underneath the kennel snow suit. You will get quite chilly when sitting in the sled while not mushing. To warm up after mushing we ate hot dogs and berry juice.

We have visited the husky farm today with an organised trip. The sense of freedom and being one with nature is something I rarely experienced. Truly unique experience which I can highly recommend to anybody.

A MUST DO IF VISIT LAPLAND A HUSKY SAFARI
One of our best experiences in Levi, Very nice staff. We ran a 15 kms ride driving our own team of huskis!! They pick us up from the Hotel and drove to the husky farm. the children loved that safari,the dogs, puppies. Finally we had a reinder soup in a typical hut. Very nice staff who explain us every thing about the drive, experiences and tradition.

Just come back 6/12/09 was the best trip of our holiday. If you want to do a husky trip this is the one to do.We did the 5k 60euros, there are longer trips this was just write. They pick you up from your hotel, we were in levi. They have about 80 dogs and puppys,that you can see and stroke.You drive a 5 dog team, if there are two you take turns. When you have finished they tell you about all the dogs and how they look after them.You then have tea or coffee and cake in a tepee [tent] .then they take you back to your hotel .About 2-3 hours.

The best activity in Levi!!
My partner and I went for a husky safari with Giewont Adventures while in Levi in Feb 09. It was the most amazing experience. The company is family owned and run by Bartek and Pauliina who are a professional dog racing couple and genuinely nice and friendly people. Their dogs (all 90+ of them!!) were absolutely beautiful, proper huskies, and they had a bunch of really small cutest ever puppies to look at too. We went on a 5km ride which is about half an hour or so. You can either drive your own or share with your partner/friend etc. Driving is not hard at all and it's heaps of fun. Dress warm the day we went was -20 and we came back frozen but with a massive grin on our faces. When we finished we had warm drinks in a kota (traditional finnish wooden house with fire). When we were there they also had an onsite photographer who took really good pictures of everyone driving and you can buy these when you finish as they are already printed.
There is lots of husky operators to choose from in Levi area but some are not in such nice locations and combined with the friendly service we recieved from Bartek and Pauliina I would reccomend Giewont Adventures to everyone.
