About 15 mins taxi from Ivalo airport for 40 Euros. stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were cosy and warm. Food was excellent with a variety of Finnish meals and good value. Unless you have a car I recommend eating in. Small kitchen for diy food, tea coffee etc. Lookout for the bear! The Huskys were the stars. You must do a trip. 4 hours was great fun. 2 to a sledge and 6 huskys. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a fab lunch. All in all a great stay to see the real Finland and saw Northern lights on the last night. Take a good camera to see all the colours.

We took a 1 hour ride with the huskies, it was a very special and amazing experience! The staff was very helpful and kind, absolutly recommended program to everyone. Sometimes we had to help the dogs especially if we arrived to higher hills, but it was not too hard... (at least for me😅) I guess my hubby got a little bit tired at the end of the trip.😆

I went on a 2-days tour with Juha-Pekka. It is probably the most authentic/normal experience of Finnish Lapland as you can have. They literally invited you into their home by the end of the day. The dogs are fun and full of character. It was a great joy to share time with them/ taking care of them and went on a journey with them. I will always treasure the moment of simplicity in Lapland.

Out of all activities in Lapland (which were all superb), the Guesthouse Husky 4-hour safari was by far the best. Why we chose this place - and by talking to other visitors, they did the same - was that this place treats their dogs very well and the owner spends time with the puppies to train them from early age. The safari itself was perfectly organised and socializing with the dogs was and important part of the trip. Picking out the highlights of the safari would be difficult, as it was simply 4 hours of pure joy (including a wonderful Lappish soup during the break). We will surely go back there and thanks once again to the people working in the Guesthouse Husky!

We were in Lapland for 5 days and we did it all: snowmobile, snowshoeing, reindeer sleighs... But the one thing that was the highlight and the activity we preferred was the husky tour! It was brilliant! We went for a full hour of mushing on beautiful trails in the forest, the dogs were raring to go and obviously well cared for, and we got to switch half-way so both of us experienced the driving. It was exhilarating! The two guides were very nice. Thanks to Aggie for her help during the trip, and for a lovely tea break in the Kota. The dogs are beautifully trained, and delightfully eager to set out. Watch out at the start as they move out at quite a speed! I had not expected to be able to interact much with them, being under the impression that they were not "pettable" dogs. WRONG! There are indeed some quite cuddle-demanding ones in the lot! :-) Anybody wants a taste of the wild north activities, this is it! Highly recommend.
