Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I just went and made a u-turn on a sledge with 6 huskies in front of it - I loved it. I got great guidance and a great tour by a great team. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and recommend this company to everyone around. We got thermo clothing and hot drinks and we did chase Auroras. Well the huskies did :-)

It seems like the company is no longer running (or at least is not working for the time being).

I booked one of the horse riding service a week in advance and got a confirmation email so I thought that was the regular booking procedure. Then, the day before the actual riding, I double checked and realise that no one was picking up the phone or replying to other emails apart from the automatic booking ones. At that point it was too late to book anything with another company in the same area and the trip was ruined.

We stayed at a hotel nearby and only when we insisted on asking specific information about Kamisak, they finally told us that the owners live in a different region and that they don't think they provide any service at the moment.

They should clearly state on their website their current unavailability because otherwise it seems like a scam.

We loved the expereince of horse sleigh at night. Luckily it was clear sky with full moon. So we enjoyed the chat at the fire side watching the sky. We will defenitely return. Thanks to our guide Sergey. Since we love horses, it was a special experience for us.

Our tour company had booked a four hour husky experience for us with Kamisak Husky and Horse. We were kitted out with very warm gear, including the deerstalker hats, and headed out to meet the huskies. These are gorgeous, friendly dogs and were so excited to be off, being quite vocal about it! The instructions for driving the sledge are quite straight forward - basically you are responsible for slowing down, stopping and leaning and the dogs do the rest. We were able to choose our teams from those set up and bond with them before we set off. Both 12 and 13 year old children were also able to take a turn at driving the sleds which was a lovely bonus but I suspect you do have to be a certain height or weight, simply to be able to slow the dogs down. That moment when the guide untied the ropes to let the dogs go was so exhilarating!
We were two families who had then been put together with another large group - at least 12 sleds. This was not a problem for us as we were together near the front but I might not have been so happy if I was at the back! Apparently it was quite warm for the huskies at -1 degree and they rolled in the snow at any given opportunity. Lunch was served in the teepee, fish soup, bread, warm juice, coffee and biscuits. I have to say at this point that some of the other guests seemed to have forgotten 'please' and 'thank you' in any language which was a real shame. Also, the toilet nearby is an emergency compost one, but you could always scoot back to the stables' indoor loo if needed.
It was lovely to have the opportunity to take the dogs out for a second run after lunch. A big 'thank you' to Sanna who took care of us and shared some of her liquorice sweets.

We are dog lovers and were happy to have the chance to visit this well run farm and have a little tour. The dogs are not chained but are free to roam within enclosed areas. They looked very healthy and were so excited to see us. There were several puppies and we were allowed to hold four of them. We did not look into a sled ride because we had done that in Alaska on snow, so I do not know if that activity was available here in June. We later sat on the front porch where we had coffee, tea and pastries. Love those beautiful dogs!!!

Terrible!

For our long dreamth bucket list come true, I made a booking from the web site for a overnight husky expedition. Asumming it was comfirmed I bought our flight to ivalo. After emailing them and not recieving a reply, ı called the company several times finally a lady told somebody will contact me. I lost several days waiting for a confirmed date. Nobody called or replied to any of my emails. I had to spent my holiday in ivalo instead of a diferent destination where i could have taken this tour.
Deffinately not a proffesional company at all.

You shouldnt ruin peoples plans or dreams.

Thank you

Today we finaly getting to meet the dogs at the husky farm - kamisak. We were very glad to see that the dogs had a lot of space and didn't wear a chain. The dogs where super excited for taking us on the ride. After the tour we had a nice vegan soup and we have met the puppies!! If you love dogs, you have to visit Kamisak!

We booked a 2 hours husky tour and it was just amazing.
The chance to explore this beautiful nature by getting pulled by huskies is unique.
Everything was perfectly organized and warm clothes were provided.
Our two guides were very friendly and they know a lot about huskies and their sport.
A must do when visiting Saariselkä!

Went on a one-hour horse expedition.
Our instructor, Mika, was nice and calm. She explained a lot about horses, Finland, sami and lapland.
You might think 100 euro is a lot for a one hour ride but you would be wrong. The forest is magnificent and quiet when near the stream. When you approch the farm, you hear the huskies howling. And, after one hour, you beggin to feel the cold. They also offer longer ride (4hours or days) but not on the winter.
The only downside (and its a big one for me) is that i can't get in touch with them via their website or mail! I had the ask the hotel staff where i stayed to call them! It seems frequent in lapland but its harder to plan in that sitiation... The only reason its not a perfect score unfortunately....

We did the 4h tour and it was an awesome experience! Jan and Sarah were super nice and great guides. The Huskies were friendly and really motivated to run in the snow.
After the tour we sad next to a non fire and had a delicious soup and some cookies and cuddled the puppies!!
If you want to do a husky tour and it is important for you that the husky are treated well you should definitely choose a Kamisak tour.
