The trip was awesome and a great experience. After Sonja, the driver, picked us up at our Hotel in Ivalo, we drove north for about 45 minutes and held at three different locations along the road. At the last Location, a frozen lake, we were very lucky and saw the northern lights very clearly for about 1,5 hours. Janne, the Guide/owner, took many photos at all locations. We got hot Drinks and snacks during the tour. Janne is very passionated about the Northern lights, which makes this tour even more special. He is eager to give his customers the best experience and would have cancelled the tour in case we did not have the chance to see the lights. Besides the Northern lights itself, it was quite a funny trip with Sonja and Janne. Next time, when we are in Ivalo/Sariselkä, we will book this tour again!

We are really happy with them. They have an amazing experience haunting northern lights, knowing when and where to go for them, but what we specially appreciate is how they insist on finding them. They try to do everything in order to make you see them. Also, they gave us an excelent treatment in every moment with an amazing comunication. When we will be back, we are going to hire them again for sure.

Jaane literally overcharged us. Instead if 129 he charged 179. Anyways we still decided to go ahead because he acted very professional. He made us wait till 810 pm before he told us that the tour is on (Later on we realised that 810 pm waiting was for ensuring 8 people are confirmed and not weather). So we start from Saariselka (Lapland Finland) by 9 pm. There were 2 more couples along with us (family of 4). We drove and came back in 4 hours without seeing anything. Now how I know that this company is not genuine. I started to chat with him online (pretending to be someone else) the next day. There he confirmed to me that viewing was good last night. In short be careful guys...save your time and money.

Hi, Thank You for Your review. You were on our tour on 5th of January. I didn´t over chage you. My price is 129€ / person and 25€ transfering costs/person from Saariselkä. You had 3 adults and one child. So the price should have been 577€ but we charged you 520€, 130€/person not 179€ as you said. Yes it is true that I gave another couple 50 € discount (didnt took the pick-up fee) because they drove to Saariselkä by their own car and we didn´t need to pick and drop off them from 16km away so we could start our tour earlier. Tour started from Ivalo and after 4 hours we came back to Ivalo. We waited so long before starting the tour so that we coud see if the sky starts to open and it did open. I informed You about the delay and You still wanted to join our tour. The northern lights were really faint that night. I don´t lie if people ask what kind of lights we did saw last time. I tell always the truth because many times people expect us to find the most beatiful lights. The weather changes here so rapidly and we can´t foretell the weather. Sometimes we don´t see the northern lights at all. You wanted to join our tour again on 6th of January but we had only 2 seats left so there was no seats fo Your 4 person group and You were disapointed. You said You´ll inform me if only two of Your group join our tour but I didn´t here from You anymore until this review. I checked Your profile. Hope You´ll have better and more pleasant trips in future. Kind regards, Janne Tervaniemi

Sadly, a big disappointment. We booked the tour "Northern lights safari -4h" to see the Northern lights (very professional and impressive homepage) main reason to visit Finland. Because this was our main activity, we were very happy to read on the homepage: What's included? The expedition includes the following equipment: Overalls, warm shoes, hat, gloves, balaclava (which you get for yourself as a gift) We offer also snacks and warm drinks including the price. This was perfect for our two days stay Ivalo, we didn't need to get the equipment our selfs. On the day of our tour, we never got a confirmation of when we were going to be picked up. But that's ok, we easily called the safari guide) and got confirmed he will pick us up. Because of battery problem on his van, he was 30 minutes delayed. Whish is completely fine and he informed us about this. We got picked up and first impression of the guide was fine, he was friendly. When in conversation, he started talking negative about previous customers. He also related an experience about an other group wanting to see the northern lights in the same location as his. The other group had the car lights on wish of course disturbs the ability to see the northern lights. The guide mentions he asked them to turn the car lights of. After the 3rd time them refusing, he pinched their car. Janne proudly related this, which for me was very odd, but I let it go. The guide offered us medical masks. My husband then asked if we will get the balaclava. He answered with " I don't have that and I haven't offered this for the last 2 years". After picking up the last ones on our car group, the guide said he needed to drive home and pick up his cameras. My husband and I thought that once we are there, he will will give us all the included equipment we need to survive -30°C. We arrive at his house, we watched a little of the northern lights on his backyard meanwhile he was getting his things. It was already very cold on my feet were numbed. When we realized he just picked up his cameras and nothing more, we asked him on the side for the other in the group not to hear when we will get our equipment. The guide said that he doesn't have any. When we explained that we booked this tours because the equipment was supposed to be included, he asked "where did you read that?". When we again mentioned that this was clearly stated on the homepage, he says that we should have told him before. Our argument was that if something clearly is stated that it will be included, we don't need to ask for it. We also pointed out that nowhere it's says we have to ask or say that we want the included equipment. The guide gave us a poor apology. To not let the other ones wait, we told him we can clarify this after the tour. During the tour, we couldn't enjoy it. It was too cold and we where freezing. We couldn't be outside the car for more then 5 minutes. We really tried to push our self - it's once in a lifetime experience! But we just couldn't, the pain was to much. This is of course sad because the guide really showed a lot of knowledge and did know where to drive -how to hunt the northern lights-. When the guide dropped us of after the tour, we asked him to come inside for a few minutes to talk about the issue the guide now says he didn't hear my offer to go inside). He again insisted on that we had to ask for the clothing. At the end we asked for a full refund (as one does to start negotiating) The guide said we have to talk with the hotel about this (even if I mentioned we did not book the tour via the hotel), went back to the car, I followed him and again invited him to take this private and not in front of the others. He started swearing and was loud, he even threatened me by saying "If you don't close the door, I don't know what is gonna happen". I told him to be professional and to remember there is a child in the car. He continued being unprofessional. At the end we said we were going to solved this the next day. Next day, we talked with the hotel. They where also not sure why the guide wanted that we talk with them, but they where kind to call the guide and talk about the issue. The hotel even apologize for the whole experience! The guide couldn't hold the appointment we had with him, so we could just talk about it on the next morning. He didn't bother to ask for my name and just refered to me as "the lady". The three of us came to the solution of us getting 50% refund and we don't spread false rumors and being honest about the experience we had. I really hope the company works on their customer service, professionalism and takes a good look on what they are promising on their homepage. They have now updated it and write "on request". Very good 👏 1 star for the little we could see of the northern lights and 1 star for the refund we got.
