Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Saariselka has all kinds of adventure you need for your vacations. I went to the snow walk and saw the arctic nature. In the evening, it was possible to see the northern lights at the top of the ski station. Unforgettable!

We went with our family including our Grandaughters. We had the time of our lives.
The Husky ride was the best and being out in the snow sledging at night was magical.
The Northern lights were spectacular.
Would recommend you go, even if it's your once in a lifetime trip. It's a must.

This is a bucket list centre. If you want to view the Aurora then local husky sled trips, or skidoo trips are available. Plus a night in a glass igloo is one to remember for ever. There are a number of Saami guides available in the area, and a reindeer trip, either as a safari for several days, or a shorter day trip finishing in a Lavuu (tent) with Saami singing and pancakes, will totally entrance you. I will come back and back. As an added bonus there are flights to Ivalo courtesy of Finnair.

I live here 7 1/2 months out of the year. For anyone looking for a place with outstanding tranquillity, Lapland simply cannot be beat. Yes, everything here is expensive (unless you live in Norway); however, this is one of the most remote areas on earth. There are enough outdoor activities to keep almost anyone busy here, yet it is the perfect place to get away from civilization.

The area was excellent but we ate at a grill called Muossi Grilli in Saariselåntie where they charged us .4 euros each for a glass of tap water with our meal. Not impressed with that as an idea....
