Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are lots of people who just visit Rovaneimi & SCV without venturing further inland. Inari is a good 4/5 hours drive through heavy snow, frozen lakes, white & green forests with tiny trails begging to be explored, huge snowbanks transforming Lapland into magical winterland ! There are a host of winter activities, the draw of NLs & the frozen stunning Lake inari.

The area was excellent but we ate at a grill called Muossi Grilli in Saariselåntie where they charged us .4 euros each for a glass of tap water with our meal. Not impressed with that as an idea....

Small nice city! There was nice small cafe with reindeer burgers. A lot of snow and cute Christmas decoration. Many things to do. Good shopping centre. Really recommend this place to visit!

Inari is the kind of place you can only try to imagine if you have not taken the time to stay and see the beauty of this Lapland village.
Walking around you can take in the views over the marina with the rows of boats sitting peacefully on the water.
The local hotel sits a top the banks of the waterfront and has amazing views.
What they call the Sami centre is a huge building which houses a collection of items and information about the history of the Sami people and their reindeer.
Of course the drawcard to this area is the chance to see the Aurora. The Northern Lights are something you will never forget once you have seen them.

We stayed just outside the town but we came in for an afternoon to explore. Nice to walk around to the different shops and restaurants.

Stayed at Tradition Hotel Kultahovi which is located on a river. It's a pleasant place to stay and has excellent views of the rapids from the dining room and in my case, the bedroom as well. The Sami cultural centre is near and a cruise on Lake Inari is also an option.

Good to get in touch with the snows in the day. Can choose ranges of winter activities on the white land.
Be prepared to fight against sleepiness and the cold in the night for the fascinating northern lights! It is tough but sure will not regret when you see the aurora!

We went with our family including our Grandaughters. We had the time of our lives.
The Husky ride was the best and being out in the snow sledging at night was magical.
The Northern lights were spectacular.
Would recommend you go, even if it's your once in a lifetime trip. It's a must.

Unreal experience being able to do this! Seeing all the woods covered in snow with your own private dogs was just amazing.

Hello, Usually the snow comes in October / November, and stays until May. Good way to stay updated on the current situation is to follow @exploreinari on Instagram or Facebook. This year the first snow came in early October, melted after a day, and now (23.10.18) the temperature is below zero but there is no snow. Last year the permanent snow came around mid-October.

Hi, My wife and I would like to go for Aurora Hunting with Husky ride this December but unable to find a tour agency in Inari/Ivalo that offer the package. Can anybody share the contact if you have a good one? We have tried contacting Ivalo Safari and Extreme Huskies.
