Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We made with our family of 8 adults 2 tours with Terhi and Arto. The first was to the middel of the lake for aurora spotting and the 2nd a tour around their 14 hectare property with explanations of the wild life, the vegetation and life and history in arctic Finland. They are both very sociable and knowledgeable people who gave us a great time!

we just did parts of this, both at night & in the day, though mostly when out looking at Northern lights. Very well managed & fairly easy to navigate even in the snow

Beautiful trail, there’s a campsite near the waterfall with wood for everyone to use. The trail is well-lit and taken care of.

confined.investigates.quells is the what3words to the parking area. Set off down the path and take a right to do the loop anticlockwise finishing at the bridge and rapids. Lovely forest and river, mostly on easy surface. Clearly signed.

Juutua Circle Trail (Juutuan polku in Finnish) is about 6 kilometers long. You can start hiking from the parking place of Kittilä Road (address Kittiläntie 156), from Traditional Hotel Kultahovi or from the southern end of E75 bridge in the center of Inari (opposite to Kalasataman tie, behind Sajos). Some parts of Juutua Trail are accessible with wheelchairs and pushchairs, e.g. from the parking place of Kittilä Road to Jäniskoski Rapids. On the southern side of River Juutua (Juutuanjoki) you can choose either an accessible walkway or a more beautiful riverside path behind Sajos and Traditional Hotel Kultahovi.

Jäniskoski Rapids are the most important sight along the trail. Read separate Tripadvisor reviews about Jäniskoski Rapids (Janiskoski Rapids). It is possible to visit Jäniskoski Rapids also without walking Juutua Trail. There is a nice accessible campfire site (a lean-to shelter) next to Jäniskoski Rapids.

It is very easy to walk Juutua Nature Trail. Actually it isn't a very natural trail. The surface of the ground is smoothed out in many places. That's why Juutua Trail doesn't belong to my favorite nature trails. However, Jäniskoski Rapids are so beautiful that I had to give the rating 5/5.

I spent around two hours for hiking, so enjoy the wintry forest that i never seen during a snowshoe walk.

I can hear the surrounding sound, such as snow fall, flowing water...

Have a breath of fresh air.

I also found so many animal tracts, such as big rabbit, fox, reindeer...so interesting

聽到不少大自然發出的聲音,例如雪落下的聲音,仍未結冰的河,發出潺潺的流水聲。風景美得像明信片一樣。沿路行,可以看到不少動物腳印來估計有那些動物曾經經過。很有趣

This is an excellent and extremely well sign posted trail. On the South side the trail has lights and is cleared of snow. The walk meanders through the forest, over the Juutua River Falls and back into Inari.

We went when there was no snow on the floor, easy to follow walk, park at Siida walk back across the bridge and follow the path on the right. The bridge and the rapids look great and it is Easy Walk. On the other side of the bridge you can go right on the circular walk or left on a much longer, not circular walk. You can buy a map from Siida or your hotel for about €4 it’s not like an OS map but just follow the colour code. Just remember the blue routes are winter for ice and snow!

We did this in winter with lots of snow on the ground. The south part of the trail up until the bridge is kept clean and illuminated. It's lovely to walk in the dark, and you don't need any snowshoes or headlamps. The rapids at the bridge are also illuminated. The second half, north of the river after the bridge and back to the village is in the dark and it's probably better to use snowshoes to walk it. We had our so we could finish the circle. You could probably do it with normal snow boots depending on the snow level. Or you can just turn back and return to Inari on the same path.

Starting point right outside our hotel Kultahovi. 6.3km trail that is estimated to take about 4h, though we took 3h (slow pace with lots of phototaking).
Easy level suitable for all ages. Started along the river, turns into the woods but with well demarcated trail and many signages along the whole way. Terrain is largely flat. We were trekking in end Oct, at weather being about 1deg and it was beautiful. Crossed a nice hanging bridge at midway, where you can watch raging rapids run by..
Only qualm about the trail is the last 1km where we had to walk along the main road without a designated pedestrian path. Kinda dangerous, though there weren't too many cars. Otherwise it was definitely a pleasant walk....
