Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

we saw this while out on a snow mobile ride. Its a beautiful old building, well maintained & obviously well loved by the locals with many people using it to get married in, even in summer despite guests having a lengthy journey to get there by foot. In Winter you can get there easily by snow mobile and the associated buildings next to it are very interesting

We walked to the church with our Christian friends and as we were the only visitors there, we had a little praise moment there. One of us played the piano and we sang and prayed there. It was really peaceful time and good start for our holiday time in Saariselkä.

Always one of the first places I visit when in Saariselka. Attractive little modern wooden church in the village with astounding views from the full length windows behind the altar of the adjacent forest, its like bringing nature inside. Stunning by day and by night when the trees are floodlit . A very peaceful, tranquil and thought provoking place to sit and contemplate for a while.
Apart from church services the church is used for community events and the New year concert of traditional Finnish songs was well worth attending, very atmospheric and a glimpse into the local culture so do attend an event too if there is one scheduled.

Peaceful and warm feeling with a great view. The place had a great interior and place has . The place is also used as communal places among local people from the village, and thus also for events and happenings.

From Santa’s Hotel Tunturi, I went uphill for a while to north. I came across a small church in snow. This was Saariselka S:t paulis kapell (Saariselan Pyhan Paavalin kappeli).
At night I came here again because of photographing northern lights. Here is well known as a best point of observation northern lights. I had a great experience here that I heard some sound of northern lights and I saw special red or pink color northern lights.
