Tertti's Garden (Tertin puutarha) is the garden of Tertti Manor (Tertin kartano). Actually Tertti Manor is a complex which consists of a restaurant, a separate cafe, a manor hotel, small boutiques and different garden areas. It is free to visit the herb garden and the arboretum (no any admission fee). Instead of it the wall garden is closed and it may be visited only sometimes. I loved visiting the herb garden and the arboretum. You also see some wooden artworks in the arboretum. Unfortunately tree species were not named in the arboretum. I would give the rating 5/5 if there were names and some other information next to each tree species. There is forestry education in Mikkeli and so I think that it would be easy to get names of all those tree species. The area is very beautiful but I would like to get more information about trees.

We had a wonderful chef's surprise menu for a group of six people. First, while we were sipping champagne, the 'Old Master' Matti told us about the colourful history of the manor, and then the 'Young Master' Arttu took good care of us. Absolutely delicious dishes made of local products, together with great wines. An unforgettable experience also for our very gourmet-minded friends.
