Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mikkeli Cathedral was built in 1896–1897 in the Gothic Revival style. The bell tower is very high.

The interior is also strikingly beautiful. The big organ was built in 1956 by Kangasala Organ Factory. The altar painting "Crucified" was made by a known Finnish painter Pekka Halonen in 1899.

It is only open from 10 until 11 each day. Otherwise, from the outside it looks a very nice cathedral.

It is open from 10 until 11 o'clock. So you can visit it only for one hour. But it looks nice from the outside :)

Visited here several times with friends who live in Mikkeli in the last few years. Very peaceful and calm with ornate decoration. Very distinctive in design.

We stopped in Mikkeli for a short break and moving our feet on a long trip up North. It was a pleasant surprise to find this beautiful church and look around it. Unfortunately, we just missed one concert there but I am sure it is a nice experience to listen to some good music there.

Spent a few minutes 'popping in' to the Cathedral on a recent visit. Sadly we were there a few days before a friend of ours was performing in a choral concert which we were unable to attend. Bright and clean and very different to most central and southern European cathedrals which made it interesting. Although we signed the visitors' book, there was little obvious around to explain the history of the cathedral, though still worth a short visit even if there is no service taking place.

Up to hill rises Mikkeli cathedral. Inside pretty narrow hall is surrounded by simple, beautiful wood structures. Lights are quite modern and beatiful. Christmas consert was there magnificent.
