Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very nice place to visit and to see also the Karelian Village of old times. The food was great like always. Karelian style is the best and was served as buffet.

With a group of friends, we had a really good time here as a very nice local lady playing traditional folk music with a kantele entertained us. The Bardic Village has many beautiful exhibits concerning music, hunting, nature, art as well as war history. An old tsasouna building was also open for visiting. The fee was quite reasonable as well, so especially if you are already planning to go to Parppeinpirtti, I would really recommend checking this place out as well.

Runokylä is a group of historic buildings from around Northern Carelia. There are regular kantele concerts in the first building.

Hello!
Parppeinvaara Bardic Village is open during the summertime from the beginning of June to the end of August. During our wintertime we arrange guided tours for groups when ordered in advance (also kantele music and folk singing available).
During the summer season you can hear traditional folk music daily in our museum. The length of the museum visit of course depends on the visitor, but everything around 30 to 90 minutes is fine! There's a parking lot in front of our museum.
Welcome!
