I knew almost nothing about Gothenburg when I got on the comfortable boat, and a lot more when I got off 50 minutes later. The guide spoke in Swedish and repeated everything in clear English. It was a very pleasurable way to spend an hour.

I have easily went with Paddan fifty times. Since I was a kid to have my own kids. The guides and the boats give a different perspective and also a strong reminder that Gothenburg is founded in clay and marsh. Fun and interesting. Always brings...More

We were sceptical about this being a tourist trap but it was actually excellent. The guides are great and the tour is in two languages - Swedish and English. You cover quite a bit of ground (well, water) and we learned things about Gothenburg we...More

You can just head straight there and buy a ticket. If the weather is good I would say the canal is better as a starting point. You can easily walk there from the ferry terminal in five minutes.

Not sure why you're asking me about a walking tour as I give no indication of any such tour. I looked for free walking tours myself but couldn't find any in the city just paid tours.
