Beautiful place to relax and education

The garden has several parts to it. I personally like to go to Tropiska växthuset (A tropical greenhouse).

It is three parts to the botanical gardens, it is the garden, the Linnaeus garden and the museum. It is well worth a stroll at any point of the year.

We had hoped to visit the botanical gardens but they were fenced off for the winter and will reopen in spring 2017 . you can still see the trees and bushes that form the gardens and enjoy watching the occasional hare running across the snow

When we visited the botanical garden it was under reconstruction so it wasn't very exciting. It's also rather small and I have to admit my expectations were higher. It's most likely alot better in spring and summer. As it was when we where there its not worth visiting.

The Botanical Garden is really three: Linnaeus garden (and linnaeus museum), the oldgarden, and the modern, which includes the tropical greenhouse. I didn't visit Linne garden as it was closed for the winter. The other two are a gem of aesthetics and heaven for botanists - either professional or amateurs. The tropical house and the alpine habitat are the most... More

A very nice and quiet place! it is a lovely green place near the city centre about 10 minutes walking from Storatorget. You can relax in a peaceful location near the pound or under the trees and in august you can have some really good apples to eat .

The place has abundance of botanical wealth and provide research support to the Uppsala University. You may see wide variety of plants and flowers in the garden. The best time to visit is June as all flowers are in full bloom. Don t forget to take your camera along with you.

While the baroque garden didn't really appeal to me (matter of taste...) the orangery and the botanical garden itself are top level.

Not as spectacular as some other botanical gardens I've seen around the world, but still well worth the visit. Its a little smaller, but well thought out, and has a great selection of gorgeous specimens. Great position in front of the castle and a stones throw from the main square in Uppsala. Nice way to spend some time on a... More
