The Gamla is amazing: huge space were to walk, run, bike, have picnic, enjoy the good weather, as well the snow when it's time. Easy to reach, relaxing, very close to the Gamla museum and on the Flag Day it hosts traditional a festival! Amazing...More

The mounds look surreal in sunshine and they must be amazing any time during the year. Hopefully you will also see the "viking cattle" next to the mounds. If you want to have a more adventurous trip, the bike ride from the centre of Uppsala...More

Lovely historical spot to escape in the nature very close to Uppsala city therefore easily accessible by bus. Various events take place there throughout the year mainly celebrating the viking way of life. Check out the museum and cafe while there too

Must visit site. The museum is very informative. A lot of history to grasp if you are interested in Viking era. Nice to walk around the mounds if you have the time
